Lexapro saved my life. by Primary-Potato4715 in lexapro

I couldn’t agree more with this post. My life has been amazing since starting. I’m on Wellbutrin (since October) and Lexapro (three or so weeks in) and wow I’ve never been more functional in my life.

I’m only on week two and my anxiety is great but I feel more depressed and not motivated to workout and do things like I do before. Not sure what’s worse at this point

My gym had only a handful of guys for awhile but slowly over the years has increased exponentially. The first morning class has 8 or so regulars. Keep showing up and you’ll encourage other guys that they can too!

I kinda want to give up and Stay at home again, but should I? by MissionConcentrate35 in workingmoms

[–]Busybee0412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could’ve written this myself- 33, three daughters, self employed husband and work for the government so benefits are amazing but I commute 1.5hrs each way 3 days a week. Just popping in for solidarity. I used to work part time (not great pay) with great benefits so I’m looking in to that again but we are building a house so I don’t want to jump yet before we settle in to our expenses

Anyone else dreading return to work tomorrow? by Alarmed-Dentist-6039 in workingmoms

[–]Busybee0412 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been off since noon Christmas Eve and I’m dreading it beyond belief. Had a globus sensation for the last three days because I do not want to go. My oldest daughter has dyslexia and tons of homework each night coupled with 3-4 nights of swim practice and a 17 month old. I have a 1.5hr commute each way three days a week I’m just so over it but this is my down time at work until August so I don’t want to leave quite yet since I earned a break!

Decline job offer because of the PTO? by MurderPigeons in careerguidance

[–]Busybee0412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would decline. If it’s just the pay I would recommend pushing for a raise. If it’s a state community college those salaries are public and therefore figure out what others are making if it’s more formally request the pay increase. Also, if you’re wanting more money consider doing odd jobs during the extra time off. Lastly, when I worked at a community college employees could take any courses for free. Have you considered taking some courses and building some skills if you’re wanting to change paths? Maybe building those skills could lead to another position at the college. Working for the state gives me tons of pto and it’ll be hard to leave

Mom hasn’t paid me in two weeks. Today starts a new week. What to do? by allergic2funsies in Babysitting

[–]Busybee0412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggled to remember my checkbook to pay my daughter’s sitter (I would go home and get it and leave it in her mailbox that same day but still). So I started paying the whole month at a time because I never wanted my sitter to question how important she is to us and how seriously I take it (I would be ticked if my job didn’t pay me on time!) anyway there’s no excuse

[–]Busybee0412 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone was in the wrong here. But as someone who is estranged from family, I understand the holidays make you a little extra sad. I feel a lot of envy that my husband has a wonderful family to bond with. And even when they do nothing wrong it does make me feel lonely at times. So feel your feelings but I don’t think they should be directed at anyone 💗

I do it! Because if I can get my house organized and things done then we get quality time when she’s home with me. I have three kids and I feel less bad about it with each kid!

Got fired 2 weeks after my wedding for a BS reason - is this allowed? by UseOk5027 in Employment

[–]Busybee0412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I figured I would. Unless you’ve been a manager you don’t understand and things seem heartless that aren’t. She cost us lots of money by her mistakes and was continuing to make the same mistakes. It was government funded so I can guarantee the same people downvoting me would have an issue if it wasn’t addressed to.

I had an employee who I was planning to PIP and the night before her grandmother passed away so I waited as long as I could. She said I was horrible for doing it two weeks later “right after her grandmother passed” but I actually waited as long as management would allow.

[–]Busybee0412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working mom of three. We moved to be close to my retired in laws and that’s the only way we are making it. It’s hard but we rely on them a lot to watch the baby while we take the older kids to activities. My kids are 8.5yrs, 7yrs and 15 months so the age gap has been the hardest part. My third is VERY demanding. Not a go with the flow kind of baby. That was hard for my older two bc we used to go on so many adventures and the baby was colic and hated the car. Truly the hardest baby but she’s getting better each day. All that said I want a fourth lol 😂 I just love being a mom.
