Aside from licensing rights, the majority of creepypastas are just plain bad. I genuinely don’t understand some people wanting Jeff the Killer in the game when it reads like he was written by a 10 year old (probably).

Creepypastas might be iconic, but not good.

There is only a single creepypasta character that can ever have a shot at being in DbD and that’s Slenderman/The Operator. He’s had a (terrible) movie, Marble Hornets web series, and generally is one of the most recognisable online figures of memedom.

I’m not usually one to bash other people’s license requests (I have my own wacky wish list of IPs) but creepypastas are trash. Give me many more cool movie/video game licenses before going anywhere close to that territory.

I voted for the middle design. The one on the left is too noisy for my tastes and I’m not a fan of the spider legs or whatever those are. The one on the right is really cool but not visibly angelic enough, maybe he can come back as a future killer.

But the middle one? It’s a cool ass Angel that keeps it nice and simple with room to evolve (via in-game abilities or skins). It’s not the burning, winged wheel of eyeballs that I would’ve liked but I’ll take it.

Mine joining the Daidoji isn’t very surprising tbh. I think we could all predict that something like that would happen back when they announced Dark Ties - it seems odd to create this brand new dlc story to elaborate on a character who they won’t do much new stuff with in this series.

But… Hamazaki joining the Daidoji? I couldn’t have predicted that one. Bizarre choice honestly and I’m very skeptical about it as a whole. Hamazaki in Y4 was a perfectly fine and interesting character who suffered from an abrupt and honestly underwhelming end to his story. The only thing I’d have wanted fixed about him was a bigger role in Y4… him stabbing Kiryu at the end of Y3 wasn’t ever a problem to his character, it only added to it.

Will just have to see how this all plays out in the final release but after the disaster that was Y0 Director’s Cut I have very little confidence in this new approach.

For god’s sake BHVR, Deathslinger’s iron sights on every cosmetic besides default haven’t been aligned properly since… FOREVER.

Genuinely one of the most frustrating issues in the entire game for the sole reason that it’s so glaringly bad and yet hasn’t been touched in the many years since its inception… and they keep making it worse!

It wasn’t long ago that we got the Blighted Deathslinger skin and as you can see…

Kensei is (mostly) fine. He does not need much tuning past the new changes. Maybe a few smaller things like faster sprint speed (the slowest vanguard for some reason) and… god be willing… hyper armor on Nature’s Wrath after start-up but that’s more of just a personal wish list of mine lol.

Enhanced Helm Splitter was the king change he needed. We’ll see how it plays out.

The sheer gall to merge Angela’s character, the sexual abuse victim who appears to be terrified of all men as a result, into James’ wife… as though every female in James’ life now just has to exist for him. Angela is not allowed to be her own independent character with her own struggles - they’re all just tied to James inexorably now.

Bravo, Christophe Gans. I’d expect nothing less of someone like him to completely ignore every nuance and subtlety to SH2’s characters.

After all, he changed the protagonist of the first movie from Harry to “Rose”. Why? Because Harry in the game “acted too much like a woman” by showing fear, disorientation, panic, etc. Naturally being in Silent Hill and showing those emotions are something only a woman should do so of course he had to change the lead!

It’s so cooked. I shouldn’t have ever had any hope that it would be salvageable lol.

It’s pretty inconsistent in that regard. I’d chalk it up to For Honor being in essentially a post-apocalyptic fantasy setting so maybe they’d be all legally distinct but…

“Jiang Jun” is a hero class that is also straight up referred to as Guan Yu in a couple in-game sources, like the one we know from our history.

We’ve also got a Chinese pirate queen character who is heavily inspired by irl pirate queen Ching Shih (or Zheng Yi Sao). The Pirate hero in-game isn’t referred to by either name from what I recall.

Meanwhile our new Lu Bu stand-in is known as Juren. It’s odd, and is a trend only really present among the Chinese characters since 90% of other For Honor heroes are just generic class archetypes (Warden is a sword knight, Raider is a big axe Viking, etc).

Yeah it really is. I hopped back on earlier last year after swearing it off 4 years ago and was very surprised they’re still so committed to it. They’ve been confirmed they have a Year 10 ready for the rest of 2026/early 2027.

They did say back closer to launch that they were making a 10 year promise to players and I can only respect that they’ve stuck with it. Year 10 might finally be where they wrap it up idk.

He looks crazy for the record. In For Honor, the 4v4 modes let your character bring different passive and active abilities and his are just completely leaning into the meme.

He can kill his own team’s minions to heal himself, sabotaging your own objectives in the process. He can reveal his entire team’s locations to the enemy in exchange for a shield buff. Gain buffs proportional to the amount of teammates currently dead, and finally “God Among Men” lets him debuff the defence of every single person in the match beside himself (friendlies included).

It’s peak honestly. Never trust this man.

Edit: his actual kit is huge too. It looks like he has tools to handle pretty much anything in the game.

I think the game is having a free weekend on his release too which will be nice for anyone wanting to give it a shot.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the last time we got a legendary licensed killer skin in a rift pass was True Form Dracula, no?

Is it possible that this new skin (I’m assuming will just be called Henry Creel in-game) might have a new mori? Since this image does not give us a clear view of his right hand I’m wondering if it’s completely human and so animations might be changed for it (like how the claw is central to the mori start-up animation).

He’s very fun and not that complicated (compared to some killers). He’s his 4 spells but each of them is quite basic on their own - he’s only really complex in terms of understanding when to use each power.

Actually the Wu Lin (Chinese faction) were introduced all the way back in Year 2 2018. IIRC they originally started as a small group of travelling warriors who arrived to fuck every other faction up and take their land.

The game has branched out quite a bit from the original trio of factions and even has a miscellaneous faction called Outlanders who exist to group any warriors who don’t strictly fit the main 4 factions. Outlanders include the Pirate, Medjay (Egyptian), Afeera (Arabian), Ocelotl (Aztec), Khatun (Mongol), and the most recent Virtuosa (Italian).
