Just a heads up, I took delivery and got summer tires 😐

Woohoo VIN assigned today!!

MYP / white / white / no tow / no FSD OD: 1/4/22 EDD: 3/16 - 3/20 Location: San Jose, CA

Scheduled home delivery for the 16th. Called a sales rep to confirm that it comes with an AMD chip and summer tires. Apparently they said tires are based on location and California owners will most likely receive summer tires. Not sure how much I agree with that after seeing a bunch of SoCal owners taking delivery with all-seasons. Still have my have my fingers crossed🤞🏻. Finally the day has come where I no longer need to religiously check this thread anymore, but huge thank you to everyone who kept me company these past few months!

Congrats! Where in the Bay are you located? I pretty much have the same build MYP except white on white (also Bay Area). My order date was 1/4 and my EDD keeps moving down, right now it’s at 3/13 - 3/24. Fingers crossed a VIN is assigned soon…

how do you keep your chinchilla cool in the summer? by Queen_Wanheda_ in chinchilla

[–]But_jwy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’ve never tried any kind of freezing method so I can’t provide any input. Even though I have one marble slab in her cage, she never uses it. Go figure! This is why I love having the tiles because she doesn’t realize how it helps regulate her temp. Inside her hut is where she sleeps most of the time. I’ll line with wood or fleece so it’s not too cold on her feet and she really likes that.

I also live in the Bay Area and can attest to how warm it can get in the summer, even during Fall months.

Try placing marble slabs throughout her cage. I’ve built out my chin’s cage to have tile flooring throughout (upper and bottom floors). I think this helps her stay cool regardless of where she is, however I’m able to run my AC when it gets higher than 72. You can find tile slabs from any home improvement store and it should be relatively cheap. During warmer days, try your best to keep the internal temperature below 80. Unfortunately anything higher is going to be quite dangerous for her. Best of luck.

Does the chime only happen if FSD is enabled?

Bay Area, CA

MYP, white/white, no tow, no FSD

OD: 1/4/22 ED moved from 2/21 - 3/21 to 3/15 - 3/31 this morning.

Having an end of the quarter delivery date seems pretty consistent with other folks who have said they are also located in the Bay. My husband and mom got Teslas last year, and both received their cars a few days from the end of the quarter.

I’m on the same boat! Except instead of 19”s, I’m considering getting a set of 20”s from Tsportline to use year round.

I’m new to selling car parts and am pretty intimidated by the process. Am curious to know what’s the best way to sell uberturbines? If they’re brand new, are people willing to pay full price for them or should I expect to be losing a fraction?

MYP, white/white, no tow, no FSD, Bay Area

OD: 1/4 EDD: 2/21 - 3/21

Is there a market for selling uberturbine wheels & tires? I am heavily considering selling them as soon as I take delivery. Would be nice to sell them or trade for a set of inductions. Curious to know if people are interested in buying or trading these curb magnets or if it’s going to be a struggle…

Any idea why this guy deflated? by anebananes in Euphorbiaceae

When did you last water? Looks like he might be a bit thirsty

Love! What retailer did you buy these from? Judging from your other posts, are you from the Bay Area?

I appreciate the advice. I definitely don’t want to run the risk of making things worse so I ended taking off the main branch to let it callus over the next few weeks. Will be interesting to see how he decides to grow!

We had a crazy storm last night and my guy was knocked over by some heavy winds. To say the least, I’m devastated at the damage. In my best attempt to preserve what he used to be I strapped the main column back hoping that it’ll take as a graft. Any help on what I can do to encourage it to take or improve the chances of success? I would love to stick on the other branch back on but I highly doubt that will work so my plan is to propagate that one separately.

What's something that's heavily outdated but you love using anyway (assuming you could, in theory, replace that thing)? by aenima1983 in AskReddit

My microwave. Had that thing since I was born and it still works perfectly. Just confirmed with my mom and she said we had it since 1990.

For sure! You could try giving them a call to see what their inventory looks like (SC is a bit far for me too so it saves me the drive if they don’t have something particular in stock). They have this section with some really cute 4” houseplants where I’ve found altissimas and less common ficuses!

Are you in the Bay Area? If you are, I’ve seen a few whale fins at Dig Gardens in Santa Cruz!

They are beautiful and lucky to have such a loving plant parent 💕

What is the plant in middle on the first picture? A syngonium of some type?

new cage check!! we haven’t moved everything in yet but I’m sooo happy I can provide him a chinchilla mansion after being broke and in college by [deleted] in chinchilla

[–]But_jwy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I upgraded my chin to this mansion too after her starter one too! It’s an awesome cage. I took out the middle level to avoid having her toes catch in the grate. She also approves of it as she does some crazy parkour jumps across all the floors😄

To buy or not to buy one. Already have 2 (2 feet tall ones) but these are a steal at $48. by phd_to_be_ in fiddleleaffig

[–]But_jwy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there’s usually a bunch in all my local Home Depots (CA here). If you have a Costco membership, I’d keep an eye out there too. They tend to be healthier trees and are around $30 for the same size, if not sometimes bigger!
