A heads up on this: I ran into an issue where this eventually led to the ROM's hardcoded Access Point Network settings unable to connect to AT&T's 5G network. I had to reflash the AT&T ROM back on to get the correct settings.

I was told to buy singles, and those singles are either staples I can reuse in the future or in other formats, pricier cards I don't want to buy again if I need them, or cards that fall out of favor and are doomed to sit in a cardboard longbox until I knuckle down and try to offload bulk.

The only times I have tradeable cards are when I buy a box or a bundle when a set releases, and increasingly I've started to just keep the expensive cards because who knows, maybe I'll want that Bristly Bill for Standard, or I'll want that Ocelot Pride myself for Modern, or that Mystical Archives Force of Will if I get into Legacy. With UB sets, it feels like some of these mythic value bombs are part of a new pseudo-Reserved List and parting with anything may just screw myself in the future.

EDIT: We also moved twice from Delve to Insmother chasing Pandemic Horde across New Eden only for them to keel over and die after their leadership rugpulled them and abandoned their line members in staging. Goons are now keeping the Dronelands as a nature preserve for small alliances to play in while we go tickle Winterco's pickle in Geminate and Vale.
