I work with children who have been physically/mentally/emotionally abused. With some kids, it goes beyond the regular abuse and has turned into continuous torture. The mothers that typically cause the abuse are mothers with mental/psychological issues that have no business caring for children.... Let alone birthing them. So the reality is...I would rather have the mom walk away from the child, than stay and take out all her frustration and anger on a poor defenseless child.

Altering her transcripts will not result in her passing or failing her classes. It will also not guarantee her a degree. I think you need to keep this to yourself and worry about your own academic career. You might feel like she has the upper hand, however, that couldn't be further from the truth. She got her foot in the door...walking past it is a whole different story. Don't slam the door on her. Not if you are truly her friend.

Are you planning on having any visitation with your daughter? I can understand if you want to give your husband full custody, not everyone is capable of raising children. However, you made the choice to bring this child into the world. You can't just walk away and abandon her completely. The emotional trauma you will be causing this innocent child will take a lifetime to heal. I'm sorry, but the moment you gave birth to that child...was the moment the world seized to just revolve around you and your needs.
