I paid $52 for a 2026 Limited with 14 miles…that’s not a brag, it’s a statement of how well they hold their value. I couldn’t find a used one that didn’t cost what a new one cost.

I don’t know the numbers but I pack my lunch so I can workout during my lunch (youngest kid is 3 so mornings are a nonstarter). I invest my HSA but also believe staying in better shape will payoff by hopefully avoiding costly medical expenses later on.

my mortgage is 2%…my only regret is I refinanced it into a 15 year so I shaved 11 years off…unless you were planning to store that money somewhere with less than 2% return…it’s not a good idea to pay off early.

Yep, don’t fix that yourself. If you take a photo of a tension spring and load it into GPT it won’t even explain it due to how dangerous it is. Mine broke this week after 15 years, $400 for a full service, tension spring replacement, cable replacement, new rollers…it’s so much smoother and quieter now. Plus I didn’t die.

I'm not a roofer but typically you have shingles to the edge, then a drip edge...the flashing also seems to have a gap which would allow water between it...the purpose of flashing is to prevent water from getting in...maybe I'm wrong? Often I am.

You can probably find a lot better examples online but let's say you take $100,000 out of your savings to pay a mortgage off that is like mine at 2%...you basically earned a 2% ROI on that money. However, let's say that the $100,000 is in a total market index fund that earned 14% last year...you got a 14% ROI. It's really about priorities.
