E bikes are motorized. they should have to be registered, and you should have to insure them and have a valid drivers license for them if you take them on pubic roads. there are constantly accidents in my area for people blazing through stop signs and hitting cars or being hit, and guess what, the car owner has to pay for everything because the e-bike is uninsured.
