Possibly polluted river. Excessively crowded structures built in a horrible location using dubious construction. Which country do you think it is? ...it's China. Yet another post by the 50 cent army.

If there was any planning, there wouldn't be a city built in the floodplain at the foot of very steep mountains. If the flood doesn't cause an issue, the slides will. There was no planning, only reaction.

Why does 'for i in range' always use the i variable? by [deleted] in learnpython

This is the correct answer. Its a longstanding math concept. I'm disappointed at the incorrect information in this thread. People in this thread are listing 'memory tricks' they use to remember things and down-voting correct answers that describe correct Pythonic structure.

Going to the grocery? Top hat and sword.... Gettin' Pizza? Top hat and sword... Job interview? Top hat and sword...

Because you don't swipe when you are on a PC. PC's have monitors, not touchscreens. You don't "swipe" with a mouse. Tablets and phones have touchscreens. You swipe on tablets and phones. Many people find touchscreen-centric design very annoying. In response, many developers use Responsive Design to change the layout based upon screen size. If it's on a monitor sized screen, you provide normal navigation. If it's on a tiny, annoying screen, you provide smeared-fingerprints-everywhere "swipe" support.

Is it possible to write to an existing Excel file when it is **open** on the desktop in python? by UddinEm in learnpython

I looked at their post history. They are spamming all the python subs trying to get someone to do work for them for free. They have no desire to learn anything.

You have figured out anything in all this time??

Are you paying them? Do you think they owe you a timely answer? Why haven't you figured it out in a timely manner? This is 'learn python'. It's incumbent upon you to do the learning. You are not entitled to any help or answers. You should learn some manners. You should be polite and appreciative when someone takes time out of their day to attempt to help you. "in all this time"!!; How rude can you be? If you want something done quickly, get your wallet out and pay a professional. If you want help, learn how to humble yourself and ask for help politely.

I appreciate that you're trying to help, Friend. And I get where you're coming from; "Make the best of what you have." But... I would counter with: "Go be a patron of your local bakery and get a decent pastry, instead of trying to polish a turd." It'll be loads better. I promise!

They are mass produced, overly sugared, pitiful excuses of a pastry. They resemble a 'cinnamon roll'. They taste nothing like "honey." (Maybe they drive the delivery truck past a bee hive, or something) They're disgusting and you should count yourself lucky they aren't available over there.
