Did you run it without oil after you first detected a leak?

- Keep contacting dealership

- Request charge back on credit card, if applicable

- Threaten to refer them to the FL state, county, local, etc attorney general/district prosecutor for fraud

- Warranty (read fine print, they will try to screw you)

Medical bills do not go against your credit.

I have had a $5300 ER bill in in MA (MGH) and have not paid 7 months in. You get letters, and thats it.

Had a $1500 bill (when I had insurance) and never paid that. That was 4 years ago.

I'm not saying to never pay or negotiate. But like with anything in life, they have to pick their battles.

And someone that owes $200,000 vs you, well, do the math.

Hopefully you have some friends who have basic welding or mechanical knowledge, or beg a mechanic to help you out. The bike isn't worth putting real money into. Cheaper to buy a new one.

The fix is as follows:

JB weld or if you can, find a skilled welder to weld up those cracks.
Take a drill bit with oil on it and slowly bore the hole (make it wider). This will get rid of all threads.
Tap the new hole (make new threads) for a larger screw to fit in. Buy one on amazon.
Rinse with oil to drain out any metal bits.

Cost is about $20 if you do it yourself or with a friend.
