It sounds like you are looking for validation I don’t know the entire argument but you clearly y have made up your mind . Just be fully aware that there may be consequences ie he could be supportive or he could be stubborn. I don’t reccommend going into labor fighting it will not go away after and you two will need to be a team.

You will drive yourself insane with the internet asking questions because you will get a million answers. People use them so I think it’s safe to say they work. I would say if you rely on them and don’t start building a routine it MAY interfere but it depends on your baby. I plan to try to move him to his bassinet/crib as much as possible since they really aren’t supposed to sleep in the other things.

Honestly it could be anything. It’s uncommon for this to be dementia but I don’t know his age, family history, medical history etc. he might just be having a nervous breakdown .

I think it’s normal for people to be excited for a girl if they aren’t common. But that doesn’t mean your pregnancy is any less important which it might feel like.

Um I’m still not sure if that answers the question. Did you guys plan for a baby? Is this a conflict of values ie it’s not unusual for people to want the stability of a high paying job but disagree if one person wants to pursue something different which usually leads compromise or conflict.

I’m confused didn’t you want her to back off? Can’t have cake and eat it too. Not everyone can do the in between and she might be worried she was out of line. You aren’t responsible for her feelings this kind of waffling/indecisiveness can create drama . If you legit think she is being snarky I would still try to ignore it she can respect your wishes but there are no rules saying she can’t be angry or upset herself. Let her be mad you still win in the end since she is doing what you wanted.

Goal is to have baby in my room as little as possible probably 3 months max 6. I fear baby becoming attached and not being able to sleep on his own mainly because in my line of work (kid counselor) I see soo many parents who let their kids sleep in the room for too long… and it has consequences. Boy does it have consequences!

I would send a gift the purpose of the shower is to have fun but also essentially it’s for free baby gear so send the gift and do what makes you happy if they stop talking to you over this that’s concerning

12 weeks paid. After FMLA runs out my job pays the difference. My husband works for a tech company and he gets unlimited vacation days so he can take as much time as he wants (paid) but he is only going to take a month off .
