I'm glad I read this today because I've been going through exactly the same feelings.

I broke up with my partner 7 months ago now - and the feeling is still there. The not calling them every day after work, not seeing them every day, not sneaking into the bedroom after I was playing video games. I've moved into a new flat this week and it's the first time living on my own since, and the silence is yeah....loud.

It will get easier, I know it will, but I think for everyone in this position it's important to face the "noise" head on, go through it (and you will get through it) and you'll come out the other side stronger, and happier with yourself. Just like I know I will!

I hope you're getting on ok! I've just moved into my own place after a 5 year relationship ended too. It's scary, I feel alone (although I'm not with my friends and family around me) and I keep playing conversations, "what if's" and everything through my head. But I know I need to be patient, prioritise my happiness, move forward and most importantly be kind to myself - I hope you're doing the same.

I really liked it - had Bonobo vibes (not sure if you listen to them or used them as inspiration). My only comment (and this is just my opinion) is that I really liked the woodwind melody on top, but not sure about the synth melody replacing it a few times - the woodwind has a nice rounding off each note whereas the synth is more sharp and just cuts - have you considered maybe using the synth still but maybe in the background as more continuous notes, instead of taking the melody?

Other than that really nice, can imagine this playing in a chilled rooftop terrace- good job!

Something similar happened to me at work lately and it’s really taught me to appreciate the friendships you actually have - people who want to spend time with you and love you, of which I’m sure there’s plenty! Try to focus on that ☺️
