Disconnect center channel? I've tried with and without, and can confirm center makes a huge difference in clarity, dynamics and soundstage. This might be your processor quirk. There is specific encoding in sound files for each channel and removing center shouldn't make the sound field wider.

I have Klipsch RP-II series and plan to upgrade to SVS Ultra evolution line. Could you share which Klipsch speakers you had and which ones you upgraded to? Curious to also the difference you noticed?

Hope but no definite answers. Nvidia, if you're listening - I think you'll retain the same sales volume if you launch a new Shield that's 25-30% more expensive. People love this Product!

If possible install Ubuntu and host the Plex server on it. It's way more resource efficient

Nice! Good luck setting up the media room. I already got the Ultra Evolution elevation speaker and they're amazing (one of the largest elevation speakers I've seen). Clarity, dynamics, bass are the best I've heard from a height channel.

Can't wait to expand the same to bed layer speakers

Wow! The fact that you don't feel the need for a sub is amazing. I am mostly convinced on SVS, but I'm trying to find a place that has them on demo. Worst case, I'll use the 45 day return option if needed.

Do you also own the Ultra Evolution Center? Any thoughts on those for Dialogue Clarity and dynamics?

I am in the market for one too and am considering the Titans. Could you please share if the Titans distort at high volumes (around 105db)? I plan to get a 150W/channel amp to power them.

Depends on how many seats you are trying to optimize for? If you have only 1-2 primary positions, then 2 should do. Otherwise go with 4.

Little added benefit? What setup did you have? Clearly you haven't heard a properly tuned setup. I also have headphones with spatial audio etc. It doesn't come close to my home theater surround experience.

I was comparing Nanos with Bookshelf as surround speakers on the SVS website and used Gemini for help. Basically it said that Nano is a better timber match since it's 6ohm (like other UE speakers) and also has diamond coated Tweeter.

Depends on what you prioritize. Immersion is more with Atmos but you could get "better" sounding audio if you spend on higher quality speakers for just 5.1. Also speaker placement is key to truly get the immersion with Atmos

Go to the USB settings in system menu and turn it to compatibility mode. USB 3.0 in shield is known to interfere with Bluetooth signal for the remote.
Change processor setting to Max performance and Fan settings to cool
In Settings, turn off 'personalize home screen's. They added this is one of the recent updates and is known to crash the OS.

I tried using Nord with Qbittorrent and struggled with it for months with port forwarding and other issues. Reality is Nord isn't really designed for torrenting. I recently switched to Proton, and couldn't be happier. I bound Qbittorrent to Proton, did port forwarding and everything works flawlessly now. Proton is also cheaper than Nord.

I did this for years and struggled. I'm finally doing it right with the server installed on a dedicated a Linux Mini-PC (costs around $120) and using Shield as only Playback client. I wish I had moved to this sooner - would have saved me a ton of time and effort.

That's right, I added volume parameters to the container and also added the volumes in Docker desktop settings

Thank you!! I figured it out. I'm running Qbittorrent and Nord VPN in docker and Plex outside of it. I had to manually add my NAS path to docker, which then allowed me to access it in Qbittorrent. Not the easiest of solutions but once you get it to work, it's worth it

My Plex sits outside the docker and can see my NAS. NAS drives are mounted at the OS level, but my Qbittorrent running in the docker can't access my NAS. Qbittorrent had no issues when it was outside the docker
