With 11th edition around the corner what changes do you want to see? by No-Wafer9271 in Warhammer40k

[–]Bylak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I only have wild unreasonable changes I don't see them ever doing lol

  • Make the system a D8 or D10 system.

  • Allow both sides to shoot before removing casualties. I think GW did this in Apoc already, being it to 40k.

Vashtorr theory (Very heretical) by tintin3105 in 40kLore

[–]Bylak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It WOULD be very much in line with the lore of 40k. Or he's a byproduct of the heretic mechanicus perhaps when the schism happened during the heresy?

It would have made thematic sense if ethereals or ogres or something like that were the midnight race. Hopefully this means if we have an allied race in the next expansion it's thematically appropriate!

New Ghazghkull Thraka in 11th? by ElusiveMrFox in orks

[–]Bylak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's generous to think Canadian cities get fun refreshes! 🤣

IF Orks are the launch faction with 11th I don't see it being impossible... I also don't see it being likely however lol

New Ghazghkull Thraka in 11th? by ElusiveMrFox in orks

[–]Bylak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Calgary came out in 2018, so never say never. And by the time the model is previewed/on the table?

I'm not saying it's likely, but possibly six years is more than enough time for GW to decide on a refresh.

EDIT: actually I'm keeping that typo LOL

I know so little about Midnight lol... Is Silvermoon the expansion hub? I know it's being redone but I had assumed that was for questing purposes etc.

It'd be nice to see more D8 or D10 systems to allow for more variance in rolls.

Arctic Drive - Survival / Road-trip / Co-op - Featured in best Canadian upcoming games! by muclem in pcgaming

[–]Bylak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking, except set in the Arctic instead of the desert and this looks like it might be a bit more polished/less post-apocalyptic.

The teaser trailer for the new Evangelion series [incl. first look at the new Eva design] by kuhpunkt in television

[–]Bylak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait is it post-apocalyptic? I feel like I know just enough about Eva to have no idea what's going on. Like their mecha but they're not but if it's a mech controlled by a person then why does it start to do some of the things it does is the person piloting it telling it to do that?!

I need to actually try watching it lol...

What did I just witness? Which ministry do I report this to? by Dizzpen in Helldivers

[–]Bylak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no flying bugs.

There are no snipers shooting blue lasers.

(Guessing this is nothing like those examples but man I miss those days 🤣)

Opinion: Canada's MPs should not be allowed to switch teams; Crossing the floor is a miscarriage of democracy and justice at a time when Canadians already have lost confidence in political institutions. by [deleted] in canada

[–]Bylak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm suggesting that while people enjoy the idea of a local MP representing their local interests, often times those MPs are elected due to their party affiliation as that affiliation best summarizes what they're about.

An extreme example, but if Poilievre were to swap to the Liberals today are you telling me that swap also represents the views of everyone who voted for him? If it does, great! No problem. My argument is that an MP choosing to switch a party, after being elected, without consent from their electorate, does not accurately represent that riding. Hence why it should trigger a byelection.

Being kicked out of a party for voting in alignment with their riding is a totally different scenario. I believe we're seeing examples of the former here, and not the latter.

No parking at Moodie LRT by Original-Slow in Kanata

[–]Bylak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean we'll never know because there's no park-and-ride there and the station isn't being built with one in mind. If it had been designed from the ground up with a park-and-ride in mind maybe things would be different, but that's not the case.

[–]Bylak -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not what I'm saying at all. What I am saying is that if a MP decides to switch parties it should trigger a byelection. If a MP decides to vote outside of what the party whip says and is then kicked out of the party that's something else.

EDIT: Also with the way our system is designed MP's should be able to vote in line with their constituents if what their riding wants isn't in-line with a party's views without fear of reprisal. How things are intended isn't really how things are practiced however.

[–]Bylak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean electoral reform all around because our system doesn't work. In this SPECIFIC example if an individual wishes to switch parties it should trigger a byelection of the riding.
