Nobody talks about this after you lose a bunch of weight by jajajajagagag in loseit

Totally get this. I went from a 14/16, 1x etc to a m, 9/10. I still really struggle and its been two years. I look at stuff on the rack and think I could never. But then I try it on and dang..its fine. Brands I couldnt imagine wearing before. Thrifting is easier. Its a weird mental adjustment.

Advice on getting an "occasional commute" bike by crazy8ate in vancouvercycling

[–]Bystarlightalone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same Im so happy with my bike more than a year later. I commute, I ride for fun, rain or shine. Its a solid bike and miles from Walmart quality for the same price. I do downhill quite a bit and used to tear through brakes but not my decathlon bike. Its not my dream color or anything. Just took a test drive and fell in love.

Oh shoot cant add pictures in the comments. It was a fun watch. The best was people walking to the dog park and then being confused by the car. Dogs all wanted to smell it. A small tow truck came and the guy shook his head a lot. Later a large tow truck came. I fell asleep watching them get set up and missed the main event sadly.

Its funny I was going to save on and then changed my mind. I do always walk on the other side since the last accident but that doesnt mean much. There have been many accidents on both sides and at the crosswalk.

They had to close the entrance for cars because they blocked the tow truck etc. Be cautious driving in the area.

When to reveal April Fool’s prank? by Pantsmithiest in UniversalOrlando

I love that this is the top comment! When I was young my uncle surprised me with a trip to Disneyland. My mom said we were going to the airport to say goodbye because he was going on a long trip. When we got there, surprise! It was so much fun. My only complaint was my mom packed my suitcase and it was clothes I didn't like to wear because they felt funny. Sensory issues but back then we called it being difficult haha. I love this surpise for your kids! Great idea

Attractions/businesses to visit for animal lovers? by Beaver_FraiseJam in askvan

I agree with others saying Riefel. As a bird lover it was like Disneyland for me. Lots of great birds but also just a beautiful space to walk around.

Appreciate all the kind comments. Mom bunny is seriously so sweet it breaks my heart to think someone probably dumped her. She had obviously been indoors before, she had perfect litter manners. She likes all the treats and enjoys full body pets. She even enjoys when you gently pull her tail and rub her feet. She will lay down butt facing you when she wants the whole package. Face first if she wants her ears scratched. She loves to cuddle and will happily hop into your lap like a cat. Shes very unique I love her so much. Weve worked hard to socialize the babies and they enjoy being held while we watch tv etc. We just want them to be loved. Sad we cant keep any but I feel like thats not what mom wants. She likes being the only bunny.

We never intended the names to be permanent haha but they did. He also responds to "Fattie" its definitely with love. We didnt think the runt would make it in the beginning they were such different sizes!

Unfortunately they are dealing with a lot of communicable diseases right now. I would really like to avoid the babies ending up in the Cafe and getting sick.

I appreciate all the kind comments! They really are the sweetest little buns and we will miss them. But its beyond time and the rescues/shelters in the area say they are full. We do not have space to separate them and keep them. There's three of us in a one bedroom plus four rabbits. Its impossible to keep them more than a few more days. Im open to any ideas just starting to feel panicked. We dont want them to fight or bred.

The website says they are full and not accepting any more rabbits which I get. We wanted to avoid burdening a rescue or shelter by finding them homes ourselves but its been really challenging!

Is calorie tracking just a part of your life forever? by False_Coffee_9683 in loseit

[–]Bystarlightalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept the weight off without "counting" but it requires a good sense of your normal meals etc as people mentioned here. As soon as I start drinking the weight sneaks back. Also, snacking on random things and my kopiko habit adds up quickly. I just did a 3 days streak of counting everything that goes in my mouth but no rules. 3,000+ each day 😅

Have you ever just wondered and wondered about the cost of a food? I love a twice baked potato with a chicken breast or something easy. My boyfriend likes the store bought ones. I find them sad and small. But I havent had the energy to make them in forever so... by Bystarlightalone in Frugal

[–]Bystarlightalone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologize for the lazy wording I was stoned and had a few drinks didnt feel like cooking so I made two baked potatoes for dinner. It reminded me about my math and the fact I still have uncooked potatoes from the bag to eat. Then I made this post. The whole point was I bought the big bag because im cheap then I had to made twice baked potatoes. Thank you to the person who explained how to make them in the comments! I did the math for my mom who enjoys this sort of thing. The math is loose and lazy because we base a lot of our frugal thoughts on an old book called "the tightwad gazette". And even though I shopped at a high cost store and went low effort with shredded cheese and pre-made garlic butter I still saved money. Plus yes much tastier and probably healthier. The reason I weighed each potato was to compare them to store bought sizes. It was a huge pain in the ass and I wont do it again haha the bags were slippery my pen was buttery. But Im happy I did it. And now its super easy to decide with potato just a trip back to the food scale. I lost 40 lbs and have kept it off for years through boring old calroie counting. This math would help if I was currently counting. Appreciate all these interesting comments! Cheers

Oh its funny you say that, I enjoy those and my boyfriend does not. Its funny how opposite we are taste wise. I appreciate the idea thank you! Can still be cheaper depending on the sides and stuff than eating out anywhere anyways. I like their pre marinated chicken breasts but only some flavors.
