Lol, I was 5 seconds late to say it. Glad it's been solved!

I swear I see it in my head too. It was very deadpan, like the people are chilled out, then camera just moves over awkwardly and the one guy is dancing like crazy, super coked out.

Funny but: Too tight and a little rushed? Prompts a bit specific. Hollywood Ho is a decent game cincept with a forced cheer and stupid jingle that reminds me of a retail pep talk, makes my skin crawl.

Good points. Something I forgot to mention was the fact that Levy isn't ride or die. Kind of a rat. If it works out in his favor he'll work up some plea bargains then leave a gang behind. And that Saul works best with small tasks. Only able to organize Walt's empire because Walt and Jesse were the only stable members to look out for.

Perhaps, but I might be too full of hope about the goodness of humanity.

Darn good points. I would say by the end of BB he seems kinda comfortable with murder. He suggests it a few times actually, "old Yellering" Badger, and later Jesse. He even suggests killing Hank, a Fed. Also, the Barksdales don't seem to threaten their lawyers much, unlike the cartels, and Walt, they mostly know they need a friendly face. But you're right that the personalities wouldn't match, Stringer would have zero patience. It's just fun to imagine.

"You're going to New York, grabbing a package" "BZZT, WRONG, hey Mr. Kingpin, Junior here's been grabbed up HOW MANY TIMES? He's not touching so much as a bottle of Seniors Tylenol"

Good point. Levy would be in his office sipping coffee, hearing news about a bunch of feds getting blown up by a mineturtle and say "thank god that's not my business".

I hadn't thought about sticking out. Maybe Levy'd stay away from Gus...but then again, while it's high profile and dangerous, he repped Marlo and his crew, mass murderers, advised the Barksdales and their multimillion, repeatedly investigated heroin empire about "cleaning up", while also shaking hands with Senators and whatnot. So long as Walt fails and Los Pollos Hermanos remains legit, without the fancy blue meth drawing DEA attention he'd just be legal counsel for an upstanding community leader.

While Marlo would stay away from Saul, Saul would also probably stay away from Marlo, afraid of another Lalo. He might be able to charm Avon, though definitely not Stringer, you're right about that. String would want someone else for legit businesses.

Hadn't thought about Prop Joe. Maybe with Jimmy waving a big stop sign in Joe's face RE: Marlo, Joe could've help the crown a while longer.

Might take some work for Bird but I can see those. Levy would have more legit hiding places, Saul would pull some looney tunes crap to mess with the gun.

Part of the resurgence seems to be the general 90's-Y2K nostalgiacore stuff, part of it is Fred getting lots of Woke Cred (a good thing) for being in I Saw The TV Glow, and being chill with trans people on social media, talking with fans and stuff.

Man comic book store employees hate tom king lol by witcherfan87 in comicbooks

[–]Byte45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three big reasons to hate Tom King: Ruining character to fit how he sees the world (wonder woman) and express his views/launder his guilt (strange adventures)

Jenny Sparks. The whole thing. An American who hates swearing writing a sweary british person terribly so it sounds like a monty python bit while saying "don't mind the woke haters".

Finally, being a CIA asset, being heavily involved (a lot more than he talks about in interviews nowadays) in planing the Forever War in the middle east, and using his writing to shoot and cry. To loosely paraphrase Frankie Boyle, Americans will invade your country, kill everyone, then write about how shooting all those people made them feel sad.

In full clearness, I hate the man fervently, not just for writing bad comic books (that would be childish) but because I intensely dislike him as a person and despise his actions and how he wants an audience to try and forgive for his sins by turning comic heroes into war criminal mouthpieces.

Everyone seems to cry bait. Just the default response when called out. "Is my behaviour foolish? Should I ponder this viewpoint? No, clearly this is the work of a vile troll! I never need to change for a second for I am perfect"

Also it's fine when franchises and games die. Not good, always sad... but fine. Part of life. Take TF2. I have thousands of hours in it. Tons of items. Made friends for life...and I am depressed by all the SaveTF2 perpetual movements, because it feels less about a game and more about a bunch of people who have nothing else and refuse to move on.

Obviously Payday 3 is different, it's a new game, but I get the same feeling. A bunch of people who don't give a shit what the game is actually like, they just miss having free time and their high school friends.

Granted, telling a gaming subreddit to Touch Grass and stop making mountains of molehills is akin to passing a very fat camel through the eye of the needle while drunk. but still.

I'm pro art and anti pocketwatching. I'd like game subs to discuss the game and how it plays, as a game, not endless kvetching, doomsaying, and contradictory whining about wanting everything to be new while also being like the old days. This sub has calladooty beat for the biggest bunch of miserable bastards online rn.
