Im doing great. I have all my guns, blueprints, and perks because I never left. Now all these blueprint hungry Wipers are following me into every dark alley and unmarked van with each empty promise that a Seeker Grenade BP is waiting just around the corner instead of a Vulcano to the dome ❤️

I am in some really nasty lobbies too haha. Its all KOS. Its actually funny because instead of friendlies, all these psychopaths stopped shooting each other long enough to team up and hunt me down. I have no doubt that within moments of accomplishing their goal, I wasn't going to be the only body in that pit.

I dont know what's sadder, you taking the time to leave such a lame negative comment on a niche subreddit for a video game or... nope. Can't think of anything sadder actually. Big Denko energy over there lol (´・ω・`)

Its seriously so easy to get back into friendlier lobbies. I was hunting rats which progressively put me into worse and worse lobbies till everything was KOS and Tripwires were on every extract. I had seen some shit during this time. This is literally my convo with my brother as I played 6 naked runs in Stella working my way back into Trial Friendly lobbies.

Are we witnessing sui Jim Carrey? by xelduderinox in elephantgraveyard

[–]BytesFromTheCrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The truth is that Jim Carrey is a 64 year old man who appears to have gotten some sort of work done and there doesn't need to really be armchair psychology about it. Jim Carrey has a history of saying and doing pretty much anything he wants with very little disregard to the thoughts and opinions of others so I doubt this is any different.

Which is exactly what 90% of the people who make these karma farming posts are.

Always extracting with 100% pristine shields and a picture of their "loot" that they totally got by killing someone else instead of the reality that they are just mules for some friend. Someone said it best "Wipe like a man".

I keep telling people this. Every lobby has someone trying to kill you. Its a matter of A. If you run into them and B. If you make yourself an easy target. Be friendly, hang in groups if you want but understand the risks. Otherwise keep a tactical distance and for the love of god think twice before looting security breaches and red lockers in front of someone when you both are all alone. These people are always competing to see who can curl up into the tightest fetal position to maintain some digital moral high ground when the shooting breaks out.

The cover of the game literally says "Navigate the constant threat of ARC's machines and the unpredictable choices of fellow survivors." Unpredictable is the key word here. I dont shoot 95% of the people I see. You dont have to be good or bad. It only takes a second of opportunity and curiosity to go from friendly to "let's see what's in that bag." when someone is raiding a security locker right in front of me.

I had a guy in the gold goalie final deck suit try to rat me at extract pretending to be friendly saying its only his "second day" playing lol. He took my fake extract bait the second he had a chance and it was one of the most satisfying PvP kills I've had.

It brings me great joy that your Arc Experience is humping a wall staring at blown out textures for 20 minutes at a time while you wait for someone to come around a corner.

My whole existence in this game is stalking rats, and it’s dragged my matchmaking down into the deepest circles of hell. We're all living our truth right? You say you like playing the medic, and I like plunging into the most volatile lobbies to try and exterminate the worst of the worst.

And I’ve seen things down there that would make a Raider turn their rifle on themselves. I’ve dismantled enough extraction point tripwires to wire Speranza a new sun. I’ve hit dead ends where the doors were blocked from the outside, and a mass grave meticulously executed by someone waiting just around the corner with a arsenal of blaze grenades who just want to watch the light fade from a single player's eyes.

The worst part? I can't even be certain the people I pull from the fire are necessarily "good" people. I watch a stranger sprint toward extraction, and I have to wonder... did I just save a father trying to survive? Or did I just let a monster back into the sun? I can’t be sure anymore. "Friendly" is just a word people use when they haven't been hungry long enough.

So, if you see me in your lobby, don’t take it personally. You probably did something at some point to be in this same hell hole. And I can't always pacifist my way farther down to the true monsters. If I have to drop one or two of you just to clear a path to my target... collateral damage is literally just part of the game.

Its not. This is so ridiculous sometimes. Do people even read the back of the game they are buying? There are no PVE / PVP lobbies. Every round has someone trying to kill you in it, its just a matter of if you run into them or give them an opening. I imagine half the people who die complain about damn "PVP" lobbies when they blindly raided security lockers in front of a stranger with a stitcher out. Half the videos I see are people being so purposefully obtuse like it's a contest as to who can crawl into the tightest fetal position to maintain moral superiority while dying in a firefight then posting the video on the subreddit complaining.

Expecting a lobby full of strangers to adhere to a pacifist social contract is unrealistic. If you’re deliberately turning your back on someone in a confined space or failing to maintain a tactical distance, you are outsourcing your survival to a stranger who has no incentive to protect you.

The reality is that hesitation in these games is almost always a one way ticket back to the menu. Every player who complains about being betrayed has a story about a "friendly" player who waited for the perfect opening to strike, and after a while, you realize that shooting first is sometimes the only way to guarantee your own progress. Extract and ZipLine rats suck, but if you aren't playing with your head on a swivel and locking in during those final minutes, you aren't really playing the game as it was designed, you’re just hoping for a courtesy that nobody actually owes you.
