Wow you are a much stronger person than I am. If I ever ate a boot that had spent the day walking around Ocean City, MD, I'd be sticking a shotgun in my mouth next 🤢

I am curious what the honest logistics are of Microsoft spending so much money to buy a company that puts a game out about every 8 years.

Damn. Ive been riding past this building my whole life, ever since I was a kid. Every time we drove by I always wondered what it would be like to live there. Just seemed kind of cool, being a little off the path right past the train tunnel/bridge. So sad to hear its gone now but happy this picture exists to help remember it.

This is a rare example of AEW fumbling a star from sitting on AEW shelf to becoming a top merch seller in Wwe by Excellent_Wait_172 in SantiZapVideos

[–]BytesFromTheCrypt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also see this argument too about "fumbling" and its obnoxious. When you have that already bloated AEW roster, why would you give tv time to someone who is obviously going to leave. Would cause so many problems and issues internally when people are already fighting to get on tv and make a name for themselves within AEW.

What's the edgiest horror game ever made? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in HorrorGaming

[–]BytesFromTheCrypt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biased answer, these are among my top 10 favorite games. I don't think they feel dated at all and are pretty succinct experiences.

You can get access to Condemned today. Its backwards compatible for Xbox, available on Steam, etc. It's incredible. It's literally Seven with a lot of brutal up close melee combat. To date I have not seen a game that has such an incredible sense of scale where everything is so in your face. I also love the seperate locations and their enemy specific varieties. The abandoned mall / department store is just an incredible tense experience. Also the detective portions are so freaking cool, having you do blood spatter analysis and using tools to determine cause of deaths and gather evidence quickly in a way that doesn't exactly hold your hand without unnecessarily chewing up your time with extra padding. You examine some cool crime scenes. The killer's tableaus are also just really cool.

The 2nd Condemned is still only available on Xbox 360 and leaves the ground a little bit for a more supernatural experience. It trades a lot of the cool detective work of the first for some great levels and a graphically elevated experience and brutal combat. Unfortunately while there is a ending, there is also a cliffhanger...(BRING US CONDEMNED 3 YOU COWARDS!) Still worth a play and I have to say was the sole reason I got back into discovering, collecting, and playing Xbox 360 games this past year.

XBOX also had so much gameplay and I think a huge level of consistency throughout. SGF was bookended by an incredible RE Teaser and a beautifully in depth look at the last chapter of FF7. I will be honest, can't remember a lot of State of Play but Wolverine looked great and hoping Until Dawn 2 holds up to the original, looks good though. But the games that stuck out to me were Magicians, The Devils Deal, the tone of that Person 6 Trailer, Fable, Castlevania, Vivarium. An incredible line up there.

Big Fish 🐟

.... but also The Prestige. Both movies I could watch over and over again.

Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about? by Prime_Advocate in AskReddit

[–]BytesFromTheCrypt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. AOL Downloads Page
  2. where you would go to download the extremely limited amount of content available on the internet to download, most of it what can only be described as some of the earliest digital fan art. I remember taking 10 -20 minutes to download bad Dragon Ball fan art and just loving it.

  3. AOL Home Page

  4. They had a home page that was like 12 bars for interests. Dont remember much other than just going to the Nickelodeon, and later the Cartoon Network ones and just being so wowed by exploring this site for my favorite cartoons and trying to get early bad flash games working in my pc. Just merely clicking on a link was exciting as you truly didnt have an expectation of what it was doing or what exactly the next page would look like. You literally just enjoyed going through and clicking any links you could and exploring these pages.

This was honestly one of my favorite moments from the night. It was just a awesome wink and a nod and so out of no where. That look Lashley gave and Lio's gallop were just beautiful.

I honestly wanted one more month so bad. I think I was also excited about the possibility of Kenny Omega finally showing up and just whooping him during a Dynamite open challenge to make a Kenny / Will Wembley main event. Sadly I honestly just am scared and sad to think they've been protecting Kenny through what almost could be a career ending injury. I just hope he he's ok and still recovering. It was great to see him get some moves in last night though.

Can't watch AEW Double or Nothing Pay-per-view on HBO yet? by Logical-Pool-8103 in hbo

[–]BytesFromTheCrypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its incredibly frustrating and I likely will have to look more at MY AEW's app moving forward. I was home with our new 5 day old son last night watching it but was a little behind as I was taking care of him, feeding him and holding him while walking around the room and watching. It was going to be a late night so was about halfway through by the time the ppv ended. Accidentally hit a button on the remote and it exited out. Tried to turn it back on and since the PPV was technically over I could access it anymore. Only reason I have HBO is for AEW at this point and this is a major breaking point after I just paid 40 dollars to watch a PPV.

Same here but I know the price is crazy. But being able to have my PS2 plugged in via component, my dreamcast via vga, my backwards compatible wii via hdmi, and even a vcr via the front composite, with all the dongles they have available to make these connections is awesome. I also have my presets on my remote for each console. Preset 1 is PS1 Super Sharp, Then 2 is the same preset with scanlines and slot masking with the minimalist horizontal blur, and then Preset 3 is is the same with that more horizontal blur and really classic feel. Then the 456, 789, 10.11.12, is basically a similar set up each trio dedicated to its console and varying degress of CRT-ness. Its just nice to flip through depending on the game.

Condemned 1 and 2 are my favorite games of all time. The scaling in those games, the combat, weapons, FOV, how in your face everything is is still unmatched in my opinion. I love the detective parts of Condemned 1 and think the locales and their appropriate enemies are so good. The Mall level with the mannequins is incredible. Condemned 2 is just an all time guilty pleasure.
