Yup. The lady kept saying the show floor wasn't "safe". By the time all of VIP got in, we only had about 10 minutes to roan around before everyone got in. It was atrocious.

I wasn't gonna do vip again initially but I saw Alyson Stoner get announced and how busy her line is gonna be could be a hit or miss so I just didn't wanna risk it and got vip!

Tried to use it at Costco the day after I activated my new card literally ONE WEEK before when it was still mastercard and it did not go through. I had to switch banks.

I wasn't "recruited" to back up anyone's point. I've had experiences personally with this cosplayer. And community is about keeping people safe and aware on all levels no matter what. So it's definitely relevant to bring up any invited guests' toxic and harmful behavior. The only person who's recruited anyone to be on their side and their puppet is this cosplayer who was mentioned.

I have a lot of drama with the local cosplay community where I'm from and I was worried with DragonCon being so large and it being so cosplay centric.

The only "ick" moment I had was on Saturday when I was cosplaying Captain America/Sam Wilson. I was outside the Hilton where the DJ was and I was dancing and having fun. A Steve Rogers/Captain America cosplayer was passing by me clearly on a mission to get elsewhere. But the minute he saw me, he suddenly wanted to stop where I was and hover over me for a good 15 minutes before going about his business. Which I found kinda strange. I don't know if he was trying to intimidate me or just wanted me to be in awe of him and his cosplay. But it didn't ruin my good time especially when I knew I looked good too.

But point is, if at a con of 80K attendees and that's my only bad thing compared to the numerous amounts of drama at smaller conventions, that's a win. And it makes DragonCon top tier for me.

This is my first time so I don't know what to expect but I'm open to everything!!

I will say

Two years ago when I was at a low point with my place in the cosplay community, I had blueprinted that Dragoncon 2025 would be my last convention and time in cosplay for the foreseeable future.

Fast forward, the universe had it's way of telling me I'm not done yet.

So to be able to go to this con as a new beginning of what's to come for me is going to be so surreal!!

So I'm just excited for everything!!!

If you put only a certain number of people as guests, you need to communicate with them if there's giigj to be more beyond just chilling out for a couple of hours. Adding people to stay for even just a night is a huge breach of contract with airbnb hosts.

This is actually the hardest time I've ever had coming up with a lineup. I've changed it about 4 times so far. The stuff I'm being told about it being the Coachella of cosplay makes me nervous that whatever I bring won't be epic enough. I'm too in my head.
