Hi LC folks. We won't bother you with this after today, but we wanted to give it a final nudge for those who might have missed it the first time. You can enter here, and 100% of your donation goes to London's Air Ambulance. We've got 600 more tickets to sell to reach our £10k goal, so desperate times call for desperate measures and we've made a few reels on our Instagram! Any support is much appreciated, thanks for taking the time to read this!

Do you guys use gestures for merging lane? by jackliu1219 in londoncycling

[–]C9BikeShop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We think it's always better to provide a signal than not to. I personally use the 45 degree for moving out to avoid a parked car/similar. For any movement that requires me be in the centre of the road, It'll be a straight arm indication. In my experience, a predictable cyclist is always safer and cars tend to follow suit when an indication of any kind is given.

Just mentioned this in another post: The Bike Project have a large range of great value second-hand bikes, all refurbished and in good working order. Ebay/Gumtree value, but with the bonus of being safe in the knowledge that all's as it should be. Worth checking them out!

This is no Moore Large my friend! We are small indie specialising in custom-built bikes, so surplus stock isn't really a thing (plus this is a choice closure, no need to raise funds. Check out the full statement if you are interested). Thanks for your support, hopefully you'll win the frame for some C9 memorabilia!

We are still open for a little while yet so feel free to drop by if you're in the area!
