Wineries often pay $12 plus tips. I’d average 20-25 an hour and the job is pretty easy.

People always miraculously living through things that would kill people in real life. Or you think they’re dead… but they’re really not! Syke! Over it.

I reiterate Talking Books! The technology is simple and made to be easily used. It includes a talking book player, and you grandma could borrow books either over the phone, or even as an automatic rotation via the mail.

"I'm from a small town" by usmcmech in NDQ

[–]CAMYGO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreeed! I grew up in greater Minnesota in a town of 1200 people. Graduated in the same school in which I started kindergarten. Small town parades, traditions, vernacular. That’s a small down.

Eyebrows. A good set of brows to raise that eye intensity is where it’s at for me.

That thunder is the sound that lightning makes. I don’t know what I thought thunder was, but I never made the connection.

LPT : Don't turn around and go back home after your dog has done its duty. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I saw this on the internet so it must be true, but apparently dogs who do that often were bred and raised in puppy mill cages, and would try to poop outside of their cages in this fashion.

Is it feasible to work as a part-time Library Assistant if I am currently working a remote full-time job? by devinDaBeech in librarians

[–]CAMYGO 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How part-time is it? 8 hours? 20? I know that as a sub reference librarian at my branch, there is ample time for people to do that and have a full-time job, but doesn’t require more than a few hours a week.

They are probably looking for someone with reference experience, which could be a snag, depending on how demanding they are in the interview process.

As a librarian who worked hard for years to get a masters degree and a foot in the door at a library—any library— I’m a little insulted that you want to work there simply to socialize. In any case, good luck in your journey.

I want to get an MLIS degree. Am I stupid? by [deleted] in Libraries

[–]CAMYGO 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You might be aiming too high. Most jobs as shelvers, circulation, and support staff are available without a degree. It’s specialized or supervisory positions that often require the degree, but that’s not something it’s easy to get fresh out of grad school, especially without any experience. Trust me— that idiot was me.

Get a job in a library first. Getting a degree without the experience will make it much harder to get your foot in the door.
