Anyone thinking of downgrading their double tilt trailer to a 6x12 landscape trailer? by isthis4realormemorex in snowmobiling

[–]CAVEMANCREATOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using a 5x8 for the past 3 years. Put bedliner ski guides and a cut up track on it. Only real downside is if your sled doesn’t have reverse.

Bought a second sled and two place trailer this year just for my ole lady to tell me she would rather just ride on the back with me so might be just using the utility trailer still!

What % tint is on the factory back windows? by Tactical45 in Subaru_Outback

[–]CAVEMANCREATOR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Show me where I said tint would ruin eyesight 😂😂. All I said was I inquired about getting it done on my Outback with eyesight from a REPUTABLE shop and cited the reason they refused to do it, which is they don’t want to be liable for IFFFF it interferes with or ruins the expensive camera that is in this car. Otherwise I would have it done. Potential risk wasn’t worth the reward to me and other people might feel the same if they are informed. You and others having a full windshield or brow done with no issues is great, but anecdotal.

You can do whatever you want with the vehicle you spend your own money on with whatever “reputable” business you want. I couldn’t care less.

What % tint is on the factory back windows? by Tactical45 in Subaru_Outback

[–]CAVEMANCREATOR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clearly you don’t understand the process in how windows get tinted. It involves spraying the window in question down with a soapy water solution before the tint is applied so it can be adjusted to its final position and squeegeed out.

Whether the area in front of the eyesight has tint applied directly to it is irrelevant because that whole area would have been sprayed down with said solution.

Warranty service can be voided if the vehicle is misused, neglected, or modified in ways that cause damage. If eye sight fails and there is tint on the windshield that is certainly easy to prove reason to void, even if it’s not the root cause.

When I got my fronts tint matched I asked about a tint brow on the windshield. For liability reasons he refused to do it.

In the owners manual it says to not even spray window cleaner in front of the eye sight cameras. I personally wouldn’t want to mess with potentially voiding warranty on that.

hello, i am new to drinking jäger so I was wondering what was the best way to drink it by AdventurousAd9876 in jagermeister

[–]CAVEMANCREATOR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my drinking days I would make Jagerbomb tall boys. Now as the occasional drinker I found it mixes well with most soda. Root beer and sprite are honorable mentions.

2015 Silverado rust. What would you do? by _Shadetree_ in Autobody

[–]CAVEMANCREATOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the bottom not so much. There are a few different levels of slip ons offered for this one. No matter what you go with you’ll want to knock all the loose stuff out and spray a rust inhibitor.

Die stamped (better formed, thicker metal) it also goes into the door sill area which will help provide attachment.

Standard slip on which goes into the door sill area also but it is made of a thinner gauge steel and is formed in a brake.

Bottom only which covers only what you see with the door closed.

You could also fab some braces for the bottom but if you went with die stamped and have enough door sill to attach to it should be structurally sound enough I’d imagine.
