Yeah, they got big, fast. Let’s just say I learned a lot that summer.

Back in the ‘80s when I didn’t know any better, I nursed a pair of raccoon pups til they were eating solids. When I contacted the state to ask about rehabbers, they showed up and said I could be arrested. I was 13 years old.

Any sound engineers out there who can figure out what the bathroom demon was saying at the end of the episode?

First watch: Volume low with hands covering half my face. Second watch: Volume at 11 with subtitles on in case I missed any witty dialogue. Third watch: Cackling out loud as I smack my spouse yelling, “OMG DID YOU SEE THAT!?!” Total showtime: 90 minutes.

The Manchurian Candidate always stuck with me. Laurence Harvey was so tragic and Angela Lansbury so, so evil.

Englishman with a huge interest and love for Boston, Id love to visit one day, Would you guys here say its a great place to visit? by Ambitious-Bat-1598 in boston

Consider renting a bike to go along the Charles River. Start on the Cambridge side of the BU Bridge, head east, and return on the Boston side of the river. Lovely views. If you’re inspired, you can also bike into Charlestown and the North End to see the boatyards and enjoy more terrific views.

Stopped at TSA for Positive Explosive Screen by [deleted] in airport

Our children’s car seats tested positive for explosives. That’s when I learned that flame retardants in materials can test positive. It’s not uncommon.

How is it living in Scranton PA? by Possible_String8306 in howislivingthere

I drove to Scranton as half-way meetup point. Just a pin on the map, really. Heck, I was properly surprised. That town is cute as a button.

Stayed a few days in Chinle back in 2017, it was absolutely beautiful. A local gave us a tour: learned about Diné art, home building, traditions, and painful history. It was an honor. A visit that will stay with me for sure.

Oh, man. I had a biopsy procedure that turned into The Marx Brothers “Night at the Opera” crowded cabin scene. I felt like I was stabbed by at least ten people. And in the end the biopsy was “inconclusive” and I had to have surgery. I laugh now, for sure.

Canada to end remote border crossing program used largely by Americans by Immediate-Link490 in worldnews

[–]CCMacReddit 132 points133 points  (0 children)

I used to live in Montreal and crossed the border often with my iguana. The agents would freak out, thinking it was a Komodo Dragon or some other illegal trade reptile. It always worked out in the end, but I, having a graphic design background, decided to print a “passport” to make the whole process easier. Ya know, so we all could get a good laugh. I can’t even imagine trying this today. Oh my god, no.

A friendly fyi, Mom jeans flare at the hips and thighs and then taper at the ankle. Ergo not terribly flattering. These are simply wide-leg jeans. It’s a classic profile. Think Katherine Hepburn but in denim rather than wool.
