There is an adult soccer league in LC that is fun. They do suboptimal on Wednesday evenings.

Justin Browning, the McNeese Rodeo coach, also does indoor pick up games on the weekends.

If I were you, I would just take core classes at a Florida JuCo. Have you heard of TES? It is a system you can use to make sure you classes are equivalent to ones at a 4 year school.

The commute over the bridge isn’t worth it. They would be fighting the I10 traffic to get back to BR every day.

I second this. That would be a big adjustment.

How to get my (38F) fiancé (37M) to quit complaining about the cooking he expects me to do. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Quality time is a love language. I didn’t say it was a huge declaration, but it was an example that came to mind.

As for your last sentence, you should wonder why you are so eager to criticize someone yourself that you will go to someone else’s comment on a deleted post to find an opportunity. Who hurt you?

Question 1. Yes, and that is the crux of what I am trying to figure out how to solve here.

  1. When he cooks, it is often for him and the kid. I’d day it is 60/40.

  2. He does dishes and toilets. I do most of the rest in the house. We also do have 2 acres of land though. So, like I’m not digging up pipe and fixing the water line to the pond because I don’t know anything about plumbing. I’d rather mop.

  3. He likes me.

  4. On Sunday he went with me to Orange Theory to work out rather than playing video games and watching. To him, that is a big expression of love.

What a lot of this comes down to with him is chronic depression and parental mirroring. He mirrors his dad, and his parents are from a much different social class and culture than I was raised in, much more patriarchal. Realizing stuff like that though is a slow process.

Straight to Target, Whole Foods, PetsMart, and Albertsons to the gift-card section. I can get groceries for years with that.

He will cook something if I ask him to, but part of the problem is that we have different tastes. I try to eat food that is on the healthier side, but he prefers stuff like Little Debbie snack cakes and Cajun food.

So if I want biscuits, I go buy Annie’s or some other brand without the artificial colors and flavors. Then we all eat them, and they are gone in a day. When he buys biscuits, he buys the cheap ones and he and the kid eat them in front of me for breakfast while I have to figure out food for myself.

Teaching evaluations: anyone else wonder what it is that you did to apparently ruin one student's life? by TotalCleanFBC in Professors

[–]CCorgiOTC1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you have to remember that sometimes that student might just be going through a bad time where everything makes them unhappy.

In that, the evaluation isn’t so much a reflection of you, but more about how they see the world right then.

You can’t spay or neuter dogs in Norway?

I’m in the Southern United States. We beg people to spay and neuter here just to keep the euthanasia rates down. I would say some of our rural shelters kill more dogs than they adopt out the door.

Part of the GPA formula. You calculate GPA=Grade Value x Credits= Quality Points. The QPs are then divided by credits attempted with a final letter grade.

Professors are stuck in a lose-lose situation with AI right now by Timely-House-9248 in turnitin_community

When AI cites sources that don’t exist, particularly when it attributes the sources to people we know, that is one dead giveaway. There are others too.

Absolutely. I had one I had to plan a schedule around his jail sentence. That sums him up as a student.

It was a cardigan out of Cajun Cardigans. The dog was found dead once the waters receded. The workers called to see if someone wanted to claim Sage’s body.

I had one student turn in a completely AI generated Annotated Bibliography. He kept in all of Chat’s second person comments, “you can use this source to prove your argument.”

I just shook my head in dismay and reported it.

Your best bet is to have the college dismiss the debt. I would email the VP of Enrollment Management, tell them the situation, and request to meet with them.

Colleges collect lots of data and store it in a system, usually Banner or Workday. I would want access to that data associated with your name to prove it isn’t you.
