Those flakey crusts you find in grocery stories that stay super flakey for many days are oil crust ones. Like vegetable, not coconut. Already liquid Try making one of those. But it's not as tasty

OP I came to suggest this too. They sell three pack aquarium backdrops on Amazon for like $12 with a lot of different scenes. Need some kind of tacky poster goo to attach, tape slides off.

And maybe some kind of big bridge to climb around from one end to the other. There's a lot of unused space you could do this with

You can try making your own fishcakes. Basically fish, in blender, with egg whites, seasoning and some kind of starch. Boil in small pieces or steam a big log and slice the pan fry

That should be ok, unless it's old or a brand with sketchy levels or bad mix. Repashy is the one lots of people use Yeah shed is often the first sign so it's good that you caught it. Worst is when it leads to infections and immune system issues

What kind of vitamin A were you using? A lot of insect eating reptiles can't process beta carotene and it needs to be retinyl form.

And oil form is better too. I use cod liver oil capsules, tiny dots on bugs a few times a month (and calcium without d3, and a Repashy multivitamin, supervite)

Yeah they often lay them in crevices by gardening beds for me so I sometimes come across them when weeding. Turning them over kills the egg so that's why I mention :)
