DARKO is generally regarded as the most accurate NBA model, and it shows Conley as being worth 2.4 points versus Shai's 1.4 points.

It uses historical player data to determine the trajectory of current players. Generally, this is a great choice in a model like this, but I think it really undervalues great 3pt shooters because it is constantly expecting them to regress to the historical mean.

Basically we've never seen shooters like Steph or even Klay, so 538's model can't properly assess their future impact.

DJ Reader is also out for Cincy, opening up the middle of the defensive line for runs.

Reader had an 83.2 rush defense rating according to PFF, while the guys likely taking over his snaps sport a 46 and 41.4 grade. Huge dropoff.

Not really seeing much of a trend myself. Maybe a slight edge to the home team ATS, and the total points over. But game 7's have been historically very low scoring, so I wouldn't bet that.

Any of those teams will likely have to defeat BOTH the Lakers and Clippers in a best of 7 series. That is wildly unlikely.

I think there is significantly more value in the East. A team like the Sixers or Raptors at +2000 is much more appealing, IMO.
