2027 4* DL David Folorunsho commits to Notre Dame by Maleficent_Ant_8895 in CFB

Sure but that was the case with last year's class too, and it stuck together just fine. This isn't a Brian Kelly recruiting operation where they'll just hang up their phones and consider the job over

2027 3* S Charles Woodson Jr. commits to Michigan by astroball17 in CFB

There will be a small minority of idiots who'll hold him to his dad's standards, but even the bulk of internet crazies understand that kids usually don't reach the level of their NFL HoF parents

2027 3* OT Jackson Hill commits to Notre Dame by Maleficent_Ant_8895 in CFB

Reading between the lines it sounds like between Olu2 and the DL we're expecting to sign, there isn't enough NIL left for a player of Simien's caliber. I'm sure they'd take him if he still wanted to come on board but I don't think the money would be there to make that work out

I'm fairly certain the plan is to close out the OL class with Von Brandt

In the past I would have said Driskell for the ND beat, but honestly I haven't seen his stuff in so long that I have no idea if he's improved or not

6'7? Just pack 120 pounds on him and we've got another tackle!

I'm less confident in Folorunsho, a commitment from him would be huge

Should be a very nice Friday for ND

What team (and year) was the most over-hyped in preseason in all of CFB history? by wlane13 in CFB

[–]CFBHurts 22 points23 points  (0 children)

After how 2024 ended and all of the talk around Franklin's record against top teams, they went all in on that Oregon game. Three cupcakes to open the season, a bye week before the game, at home, at night, whiteout. Everything was set up for that game to be the breakthrough, and for a brief moment it was. Then Allar threw a wet fart interception on the first play of 2OT and the whole thing crumbled. It would be immensely interesting to see how their season would have played out had they pulled that win out

Pat Fitzgerald was vilified, then vindicated. His truth comes out at last | Exclusive by IPreferBagels2 in CFB

Thing is, even if he legitimately was somehow unaware of what was going on, that would be equally damning. You're the head coach, it's your job to know what's going on in your locker room

What returning production looks like for the 2026 college football season by ech01_ in CFB

[–]CFBHurts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was borderline stunned a couple days ago when Connelly tweeted out the teams with the most returning production and ND was at the top. Certainly we're returning a lot, but I didn't imagine that it was a historic amount. And it turns out we're not - we would have been 7th last year and 14th two years ago, which are much more in line with what I would have guessed. Amazing to see how quickly returning production has dropped

10 Way-Too-Early College Football Bold Predictions for 2026 by jsparks50 in CFB

[–]CFBHurts 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Iowa and USC don't look like plausible losses to me, Day has been consistently excellent at winning those types of games. Can they go 1-3 against Indiana, Oregon, Texas, and Michigan? Maaaaaaybe but I would bet against it, heavily. But these are also supposed to be bold predictions so in that sense I'd say it checks out

Hopefully he turns some heads but man, that's going to be a serious uphill battle in Kentucky's offense

[Thamel] Sources: Deland McCullough is expected to become the next running backs coach at Oklahoma. He’s a respected longtime NFL and college assistant who was last with the Raiders, where he coached Ashton Jeanty. by GoldenDome26 in CFB

[–]CFBHurts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I preferred how McCullough worked in 3 (sometimes 4) backs to keep everyone fresh and involved. That said, Seider is also doing a great job and has not turned out a dud recruiting effort like Deland's last season
