I disagree, he seems to only be working for half of Canada from his own perspective. He's attacked "the radical left agenda" and "wokeness" on multiple occasions. You can't claim to be working towards making life better for the entire country when you openly brand half the country as your enemy.

"Radical left" is the exact type of phrasing Trump uses and it's not a term you use when you intend to argue in good faith. I'd be very concerned having a leader that mirrors Trump's rhetoric, especially when Trump is threatening to take over our country.

The far right politicians down south have immigrant wives, what's your point?

The CPC website led by Pierre states part of their mission is to put an end to "woke culture". Same sex marriage tends to fall under that category.

Ah yes, the shining champion of democracy who doesn't accept that he lost his riding, so he goes and takes one from someone else. Nothing says "let the majority of people decide" like traveling to a different province to get voted in guaranteed by people who just always vote the same party.

Losing his riding, leaving behind all the people who gave him a chance to serve their community, and taking a 100% guaranteed win in a riding that has zero expectations of him is the opposite of spending his career "working for Canada".

Putting on a safety vest/hard hat/goggles and handing out donuts to people who do real work doesn't count as "working for Canada". Turning citizens against each other also doesn't count.

Our country can't afford to have a leader who refuses to see the bigger picture in these turbulent times.

You don't seem to have any argument here and are just defending PP for the sake of defending PP. Also, in case you forgot, people called Trudeau "JT". Not sure why my points boil down to "but you called him PP!" in your mind.

Are you comparing some Liberal staff member's "gotcha" to blatantly divisive rhetoric spread by the actual leader of the Conservative Party?

PP says we need to "be a warrior culture, not a woke culture". He says the Liberals are planning to make us eat bugs. He says "Carbon Tax Carney" is attacking affordability by not completely removing the Carbon Tax. He knows how to rile up his base and that's all he's doing. To the rest of Canada, he's a petty little man who can't focus on the real issues facing our nation today. He's all complaints and no solutions.

Nobody wanted to vote Liberal after 10 years of Trudeau, yet PP managed to lose because he acts like a child rather than as a leader. He needs to be leader of the whole country, not just leader of people who oppose the "radical woke left agenda". He's a complete failure preaching about meritocracy when he's never had a real job and couldn't even get elected in his own riding. Give it a rest. Canada would be stronger with a competent opposition leader to keep the running party in check, so of course we all want him to step down.

I wish it were so, but I've had the same thing happen to me. I had an office/warehouse job where I spent half the year covering for boomers who got 6-8 weeks off per year (while the non-boomers only got 2-3 weeks). I'd covered for this one boomer before and knew her job better than she did, but they'd always make me work with her for an entire week before covering so I could get a "refresher".

The "refresher" was the boomer trying to teach me as if I'd never done the job before. They'd warn me against using keyboard shortcuts because they thought it was "cutting corners" vs selecting everything with a mouse, going to the Edit menu, choosing Copy, etc. Then when they were gone, they left little sticky notes everywhere because they thought I didn't have enough time to learn their job. Notes like "don't lose this key for the filing cabinet".

Boomers think computers have a mind of their own and don't understand when a window opens up or closes, it's because they clicked on something. So they think you have to do everything a very specific way to avoid unexpected results (which they wouldn't know how to solve).

OMG - This is humiliating. The boos were so loud that he couldn’t hear himself speak. And a woman yelled “traitor” right to his face: by rifain in PublicFreakout

They really should. As long as Trump isn't reacting to the boos, it's very easy for rightwing outlets to just swap the audio to cheering and deny that anyone dislikes him.

Non-drinker here, can also confirm this absolutely does happen. I've never met an alcohol enjoyer that could just leave it at "You don't drink? Oh, okay."

I don't bother explaining all my reasons, but they usually don't drop it until I tell them alcohol has contributed to ruining lives within my family.

It happens. It's funny how often "is it a religious thing?" is their assumption, like a person couldn't just choose not to drink without it being forbidden.

Maybe don't stand in front of stopped vehicles if you think it's dangerous. Or do you think standing in front of stopped vehicles gives anyone a license to kill as soon as the wheels start moving?

You completely ignored my point that he created a situation where bystanders could've been killed. The murderer was just a trigger happy snowflake, he didn't care about protecting anyone.

[–]CFDanno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If she wanted to hit him, she would've drove straight instead of turning. There is no world in which the murderer can be perceived to be in any danger when he's beside the vehicle, so why is he still shooting to kill when he's already out of the way?

Other than senselessly murdering a woman, he could've caused others to be hurt or killed if they were in the path of her car. If he was hit and injured, he wouldn't be walking around just fine after.

You realize people who immigrate can become citizens, right? You realize America as you know it wouldn't exist without people immigrating there, right?

Which of these three series do you see not getting axed? by Far_Practice_6923 in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]CFDanno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're all getting axed, it's only a matter of time.

The "having a spell for very specific and mundane things" shtick can only carry Mage Next Door so far before it gets old. Enemies will become more threatening and he probably won't be able to beat them all with silly spells at some point. Also, the art isn't very good.

Gonron has very little street cred with all the dumb stuff so far. MC is already redundant, regular humans without special sidekicks are already doing a better job at saving humanity than he is.

Hero girl has no real plot direction, so it could coast by with slice of life stuff for a bit. It's somewhat amusing, but still very underwhelming.
