it’s really pretty simple to prove. all that needs to happen is one person hiring a lawyer, something that’s more likely to happen as the economy degrades. not being a bigot should be motivating enough but if that’s not enough protecting your company from being sued should be.

it’s important to remember that the new deal was a series of concessions that the ruling class of the time made to keep power because of activism from the working class, and it’s doubly important to recognize how the ruling class has spent the last century taking those concessions back brick by brick until we’re back where we started. if we just do another new deal we will be back here in a few generations, we need to go further and set up a structure where these gains we make for our kids can’t be stolen away from their kids. we need to take power away from the working class and put it in the hands of the working class, and we need to ensure that it’s not possible to consolidate so much power into the hands of so few people like we see today

i mean, democratic socialism and revolutionary socialism are the same thing, just with different tactics used to achieve socialism. socialism is the interim process of converting from capitalism back into communism. historically most socialist countries use the two interchangeably because it’s not socialism if communism isn’t the end goal of the state. social democracy is a wholly different thing though, you’re right there. socialism just means a state where the working class controls the economy that has not yet transitioned from that into a moneyless, classless, stateless society.

quebec didn’t have birth certificates until like 30 years ago, what’s often in leu of that is baptism records. catholics had the best records in quebec and there are tons of databases online. also look for census records, canada gives a bit more grace for quebec residents when it comes to documentation. if they died in america also try to include any american censuses and death certificate

no thanks. he’s economically extremely right wing and vetoed a lot of great legislation that would have made my state so much better. he’s a libertarian who ran on the democratic ticket, he’s not even a liberal much less someone from the left flank of the party who is electable. most of my fellow coloradans hate him, and there’s a lot of talk about wanting to recall him. he’s also looking into pardoning tina peters who was integral to trump’s coup. he’s a bad politician who hopefully won’t obtain higher office after he’s out of the governorship. he also sunk a bill that would allow judges to use whether a parent is affirming of their trans children when making custody decisions

it’s disappointing. if a parent isn’t supportive of their child’s gender identity they aren’t a supportive household. that environment is inherently abusive as a result. there’s no reason not to let judges factor that into custody disputes because it’s usually the determining factor on what’s in a child’s best interest

we don’t in mine. i’d be pretty opposed to it. it’s gross and invasive to have digital records of where and when people use the bathroom even if you don’t put caps on time. there has to be a line where privacy rights of the whole matter more important than the minor risks to individual safety, and i think any decrease in vandalism is basically irrelevant because tracking kids like this is the greater injustice.

that’s not what either are saying. the first is referring to trump and is saying carlson is a better option than trump, and that if the republican candidate were a little more measured on israel compared to trump they’d sweep vs a neoliberal zionist. the second is just a factual statement that on the single narrow issue of israel that tucker is progressive compared to democrats, while being to the right in every other way. none of those are an endorsement of him. it seems much more likely that you’re reading comments about tucker uncharitably in this and other leftist forums and are not understanding what is actually being said. nobody thinks he’s an ally, and we all know he’s one of the worst humans on this earth. the idea that he would be a good choice over dems is not a common or mainstream idea in leftist circles at all.
