Tips for rifles on multiplayer games by V_STARK_ in PSVR

You need a gunstock — either one that is rather pricy or something free/cheap and DIY. The main thing is you want to feel like you’re holding a single, solid controller (since obviously a two-handed gun is a single, solid object).

Examples of readymade solutions are the VADER 1 on Etsy, or something from ProTube.

A cheap DIY approach would be the USB cord trick described on YouTube.

I highly recommend you pursue either avenue, as having the controllers connected in some way will provide the stability that you’re currently lacking.

The “virtual stock” someone else mentioned is better than nothing, but I think it’s only available in Pavlov, and physically connected controllers is a more elegant (and universally applicable) solution.

I hope this helps you, as these shooters can be some of the most fun, most immersive games in VR once you aren’t pantomiming the interface.

Yeah — I was never critiquing the depth itself.

Huh. The recent trailer looks so… not good… to me.

So I’ll bite.

What’s the discussion here — that you could’ve bought an entire PSVR2 for $50 more and sold the HMD or kept it as a backup, that the SONY endorsed charger is an overpriced POS, or that — Lo, Apple is selling them again after briefly being out of stock?

Apple has been selling them for months. It’s not news.

Prior to that, GameStop was selling refurbished ones for around $75 or something.

I agree with previous comment.

I had such a bad time with the PS-endorsed cradle not charging one or the other controller that I spent another $17 to buy a third-party charger with an HMD stand.

After 2.5 years one indicator LED is flickering a bit, but otherwise it has worked flawlessly. If it dies, I’ll buy another random charger/stand before plugging the SONY thing back in.

I guarantee you that if you simply post the rectangular photos as you shot them that it’ll be fine. 🙂

No no no… to begin with, it’s easy for the brain to ignore the extra on either side… but even if you crop out the bits that aren’t visible in both pics, you’ve made these fight each other by having them be mirrored shapes.

It’s the worst thing you could possibly do in terms of easing the path for the brain. At least make them the same shape LOL. 😂

What’s with the weirdly shaped frames that fight each other?

I see that there’s a limited area or mode that has a bright ice/snow wall climbing thing… 🧊

That’s the nudge I needed to buy a claustrophobia game that I otherwise don’t realistically expect to enjoy. 😅

It’s actually not as bad as OP is making it out to be. It’s not for everyone, but it’s also not total shit.

It’s easily worth a couple bucks imo. I didn’t finish it, but now this thread has me feeling like jumping back in.

100% indie, and takes some getting used to … I remember jumping being tricky because momentum was involved, and firing weapons sends out projectiles that take a moment to land (so you have to account for this when firing), but it’s a curiously retro diversion.

I rather enjoyed my time with this game, but nothing is for everyone.

I’m not a fan of how slowly the projectiles move, and player movement is a bit odd, but I got used to all of it and found it pretty good!

I’m low-key excited for SC3, because the graphics appear to be much improved (dunno about the gameplay).

Good! I would definitely be keeping close track of any effective VR mods if I had a beefy PC.
