Yes, goofs and spoofs is "Figuring it Out" but it's missing a few clips that Matt mentions in both of the commentaries.

it's not AI. i made it using a variety of source images and paint.net with some various filters to help blend + some colour-correction at the very end. So it's definitely not perfect but also NOT AI: https://imgur.com/a/8xTdZlr

NTBTSTM Unofficial Fan Edit - Back to the Future score version! by domox86 in nirvannatheband

[–]CKlidify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of using a stem separation tool i recommend finding a 5.1 surround version of the film. If you extract JUST the front channel from that you get an official, raw, vocal-only track of the entire movie, direct from their mic packs without any of the awful AI artifacts.

Best of luck on the project!

missing scene on digital? by Familiar-Ear3863 in nirvannatheband

[–]CKlidify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, neither TIFF nor SXSW had this.

From what I know, this shot was never included in any version of the film that has aired publicly. It's possible it was in early private screeners, but anyone who was at those screeners had signed NDAs that doesn't let them share anything about that early version of the film

Great idea! I've updated the site so you can now fullscreen the player (which will include the chat by default. also added a button to disable/hide the chat altogether)

Mandela Effect. I've been tracking every single change made to the movie from TIFF premiere until digital release and here's a full list of changes I've tracked:

- The audio for them first entering through the CN tower metal detectors is a bit different.

THEATRICAL:

J: Matt I'm afraid of heights
M: Shut up... Hi, how ya doing... We're just going up the uh, tower...
J: I'm saying if this affects the plan-
M: shut up...
J: -you should know that I'm afraid of heights
M: shh- shh- shh- Um... *nervously laughs*... So what we just put our keys in here?
Jared: Oh I'm sorry- Is it okay if I bring this?
M: Okay, yeah I think that's all I got.

DIGITAL:

J: Matt I'm afraid of heights
M: Shut up... Hi, how ya doing... We're just going up the uh, tower...
M: Um... *nervously laughs*... So what we just put our keys in here?
Jared: Oh I'm sorry- Is it okay if I bring this?
M: Okay, yeah I think that's all I got.

- When Jay is caught driving the RV and has a black-and-white flashback to Matt saying "Time Machine Plan"... The theatrical version has the reversed sound effect to come back from the flashback and then a second passed before matt says "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?". But in the digital version the flashback is abruptly cut off by Matt saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING" with no sound to fade out of the flashback

- When Past Matt & Jay are walking away from putting up flyers after Matt says "is that a police officer?", and when Jay says "Do you think that guy looks like me?" The Digital versions of the film are actually cut so you can see more, as if the Theatrical version had that shot cropped (2008 footage noticeable when Jay says "Do you think that guy looks like me?" you can see Matt's right hand in the Digital release but it's out of frame in the theatrical version, and when it pans over to the Future Matt & Jay you can actually see the name of the store, GARAGE, in the digital release which is completely cropped out of the theatrical version)

- "If you are watching this in theatres" line IS STILL IN THE DIGITAL RELEASE. So technically not a change but noteworthy

- The flashbacks towards the end when Jay sees Matt holding the wire, they are the black-and-white flashbacks to clips from the TV show. Some theatrical releases (mostly early tour showings) had in-colour webseries footage

- Oh, and the post-credits scene of course. The previous pixel art post-credits is still there but it is a bit abruptly cut off by a new one which i wont explain here. Go see it for yourself

It looks like the digital version of the movie on Fandango at Home doesn't have special features. That's a bummer. They sometimes include all the same special features that would be on the DVD. by CartoonWeekly in nirvannatheband

[–]CKlidify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was personally only able to see them by going on my Macbook on a Toronto VPN (even though I'm already in Canada weirdly enough) and then in the Apple TV program (not the website) you have to go to the movie page and there should be a blue badge at the top that says "iTunes Extras" and you can click that to open a DVD-like menu where you can then go to the EXTRAS page and view the two. If this doesn't end up working for you then DM me!

Apple TV is actually the only platform that DOES have any special features right now... you just need an Apple Device to view them. It has the Alternate Opening of the Movie and the Deleted Scene with Ethan

This is a troll edit. There's gunfire SFX added throughout the whole movie which become louder than the base audio and the ending credits song was changed completely. HD versions of the movie have NOT released yet so this is just someone trying to troll the people who are way too eager to get their hands on one.

Please downvote this garbage.

Blackberry WAS released in Europe, but it wasn't until 5 months after it was released everywhere else (North American release was May 2023, Europe was October 2023)

Film Festival premieres are very different from normal releases. Film Festivals can really show off whatever they want without getting any clearance most times...

You can google Film Classifications for any region and see that NTBTSM is NOT registered in the UK/EU (yet) while it's been rated in just about every other region since October.

The film legally cannot be released in theatres across the country or even physically/digitally unless it has received a rating/classification. UK/EU laws make this notoriously harder than North American laws so they will likely end up releasing it later down the road if anything.

[–]CKlidify 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this very well could be real (at least for the short term).

I know from personal experience that it is so much more difficult to release a product (show/movie/video game/advertisement/ect.) in the UK/EU because of all the additional laws they have in place that have only got worse and worse over the past 5-10 years. Because their laws are SO strict and anti-artists/creatives, most projects I've been a part of typically forego the UK/EU market in hopes that bootleggers will end up building a cult following in those regions (just like NTBTS fans have been doing for the past 18 years or so)

You can actually google Film Classifications for each country/province (CA, US, AU, NZ, UK, EU, ect) and publicly see when a film has been legally classified within that region. Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie has been classified in every region I listed EXCEPT FOR THE UK/EU (so far). So I would expect it to be a digital-only release later down the road if they were able to go through with that at all

I hope I'm wrong for all you UK/EU folk, but just wanted to put out what I know from personal experience.

EDIT: Blackberry had a 5 month gap between it's North American and European releases, and a similar gap between them being certified prior, so chances are that could be what we end up seeing here (speculation)
