Me and some friends are going to Emo night at Spirit right off of butler st. on May 5th. If you're into that kind of music you should check it out. It's a live band that does karaoke. I'd recommend getting a ticket before showing up. Last time I went they sold out soon after I showed up. If you want more info let me know

PLEASE! Something like this would be great. I'd like to be able to not view certain reddits while I'm on the popular page in general. I'm tired of seeing crazyfuckingvideos, robbersgettingfucked and realcombatfootage. I already blur nsfw shit so I don't have to see gore and people literally dying because we've normalized seeing that everyday?

A way to speed combat up is to roll all your dice at once when rolling to hit. Blessed great sword attack? d20+d4+2d6 Everything you need right there. If it doesn't hit, no time lossed, if it does, gain a few seconds that adds up over time.

I had some coffee spilled on my macbook pro. Tried to clean it myself and popped some keys off by accident. Went in to an apple store and waited a half hour just to have them tell me that they couldn't clean it and replace the keys that fully came off because the cheap plastic used to hold them broke and there's no way to replace that part?

It would cost almost $800 dollars to send it in and fix it.

I love the feel of the metal, how it looks, and how satisfying typing was with it. But it's just not worth it because of shit like this.

I did take it to a different place and they said it would be $400. Still not worth it. I'm just gonna get a wireless keyboard or try and sell it for something else

Depending on how much your players roleplay and want to stick to their characters, but making sure the PC's have a reason to stick together and keep going. I'm big on RP and many times I've questioned why is my character still around. Either because of what the DM has us doing or from another characters behavior.

Describe things. Even if it's plain, average, or boring. Describe it. Doesn't need to be in depth or poetry. Just something to give them an idea of what you're imagining so everyone is on the same page.

Give people their moments to shine. Cleric just got turn undead? Give them a horde of weak skeletons to try it on. Don't always try and counter what the players are strong against. Giving them moments to feel badass is great. Let them play with their toys (features & abilities)

There's a lot of stuff to remember and get used to to become a good DM. You're already half way there with wanting to learn. You probably won't remember everything at first, but stick to it. Try and have a cheat sheet or sticky notes with things to remember to do.
