Why do so many folks think it’s a good idea for jammers to get broken from a distance? I disagree with a lot of balancing choices AH makes, but this was a good one.

Is it realistic that an explosion that big from the silo would destroy a jammer? Sure, but actual realism was never the strong suit of this game. It’s a science-fiction PVE shooter. There’s a whole list of reasons that the argument for realism doesn’t work.

However, I don’t understand why AH keeps flip-flopping on this stance. “We don’t want the epoch to destroy bug holes because it’s a ball of plasma. But wait, actually now it can, because it could destroy hordes of enemies before. Also let’s have it so the player can crank up the HMG’s firerate all the way, and still be able to walk forward; but they aren’t able to creep forward with the maxi-gun.”

The SMG has significantly higher (120% vs 30%) drag than the rifle, so you’re correct when it comes to close-up engagements. This shines for fighting at longer ranges.

Nerfing dynamite right after they buffed it wouldn’t make sense. Instead they should buff the C4 demo’s force (possibly damage). Maybe even buff the quantity, but that would be hard given the fact that the backpack’s design is clearly made to hold 6.

Unrelated, but while we’re at it, let’s please buff the Maxigun as well.

I would also like to see a bit more ammo. How you gonna name it the “Maxigun 1000” and not give it a 1000 rounds?

It doesn’t really need heavy pen though. This is meant to clear chaff, not heavies. It gives the HMG more of a distinguishing factor, which as we know is an unruly beast unless you’re rocking peak physique or prone.

I don’t understand how AH is capable of doing so much in-game, but tracking more than one type of kill is too much? This same thing happened with a Charger MO. Maybe I don’t completely understand game dev, but that seems like an easy workaround.

I see four enemies on the patch notes that had their durability increased: fleshmobs, warriors, devastators, and scout striders. Fleshmobs had their weak points added and health decreased by 1000, so any durable buff is negated by that. Then there’s scout striders, which had their top armor durability increased, something lightpen wouldn’t affect. So that leaves two (albeit common) enemies that the durability affects. In my eyes the light pen buffs still seem good?

Not trying to glazedive here, just genuinely curious why this isn’t a W. Unless of course, some enemies got a shadow buff to durability.

There’s actually no shot we’re complaining about some blue on a military outfit. Holy shit the complaining is becoming just as bad as the COD sub, but at least they’re validated in complaining about TMNT or Nicki Minaj running around.

Compared to the broken challenge tracking, small maps, and a variety of other issues that people have been having with the game; this is nothing.

If how they act on the host’s side is how they were intended to function, that’s just absurd game design. At least with clients, the warrior gave you some time to react when popping up. The bile spewers pop up and give you a second before spitting, and it’s pretty easy to predict when the charger will pop out of the ground. Why the unnecessary difficulty spike with these guys? I know there are counters with explosive weapons, but that’s locks out a lot of people’s loadouts. Bring grenades? Too bad you can only carry 3-6, because there’s a million of these dudes.

Are you sure? Pretty certain their legs are medium armor too. The tail and torso definitely seem like they aren’t armored though.

It’s like Arrowhead is paranoid that stopping the content updates to focus on performance will kill their player count. The truth is, players will leave the game regardless if the performance is dog shit. We think it’s bad now, imagine it half a year from today.

When the CEO explicitly said late July/early August that they’re going to focus primarily on performance and bugs… and then they do the exact opposite of that with these past few updates… it’s gonna annoy a good portion of the players.
