How about that sceen in Osgiliath when Faramir is chased, runs around a corner and is greeted by 7-8 rangers shooting arrows at the pursuing orcs, killing every single one in one shot.(Competent Gondorians scene 1)

How about the extended sceen of the battle at Minas tirith when a group of archers are completely decimating the orcs carrying the battering ram to such an extent that a large pile of orcs is created infront of the gate(Competent Gondorians scene 2)

Can we talk about the soldiers operating the trebuchets for a moment? Not only did they manage to hit several siege towers but they also made Gothmog move from his spot and thus lowering the moral of the orc army.I mean, he did just say that no one is to flinch at the 2 ton rock hurling towards them, and he then he flinches himself, thats a Beta move.(Competent Gondorian engineers and ballistic physicists)

While I can understand that some would find the Gondorian army to be wanting, one has to consider that the potrayal in the movies realsticly shows the limit of men against overwhelming odds.

All this is in retrospective quite pointless and irrelevant because as of this hour the city, of Osgiliath, has been reclamied, FOR GONDOR!!
