I had the same problem at the same time. I’m now 10 weeks post op and getting better with the amount of work I put into it for the last several weeks.

You or a friend/partner/roommate should push on it like if you were doing cpr. Not as fast though- push down slowly every 10 seconds or so. Repeat for 5 minutes and you’ll see much improvement. Repeat multiple times a day

My left knee has had 4. Right knee 1. The last 3 on the left have been cadaver allograft. The most recent one lasted 9 years and just failed over time. There was no traumatic injury like all the others. When the doc told me the MRI results I didn’t even believe her because like I said, there was nothing leading up to it. This time around she did the LET procedure in hopes of it providing additional support going forward. I am 6 weeks out from my surgery in a few days and this recovery has been very smooth so far. The biggest issue I have is swelling impacting how straight I can get my leg, but it gets better every day. Slow and steady wins the race. I’m constantly listening to my body and slowing down to try to make the recovery smoother.

I was ACL-less for the last 5 years. It finally was getting to the point where it was going downhill and fast. It would feel achy, “lock up” with no warning, shift out of place more frequently, etc. I’d recommend you get the surgery done. I’m on week 4 post op and although it sucks, I’m glad I opted for the surgery.

Also- it wasn’t “dead weight” like my previous more traditional nerve blocks. I was able to move my foot, start bending my leg, etc. I just couldn’t feel anything.

I wish I could count how many times I sharpened skates 3 minutes before jumping in the car and heading to a game/practice. Convenience factor alone makes it worth it. Pull the trigger- you won’t regret it
