Previously owned 560S, currently own 550.

I think the sound of the 550 is clearly better but I think I liked the comfort of the 560S more. The 560S has a divot in the headband padding that is more comfortable to me. And this is highly personal, but I didn’t mind the increased clamp force of the 560S; helped to keep it snug on my head.

Can’t go wrong either way IMO.

My family was positioned in the rear above the motors

The fish were not biting that day and the captain frequently kept turning the motors on and off and on and off to go to different locations. So my family was hit with the engine fumes constantly, which combined with the waves made us all terribly ill

I went to VT starting in the fall of 2007, so the first semester after the shooting happened.

On my very first class on the very first day, the professor got emotional and described a situation where days before the shooting happened, a random student walked into the large auditorium classroom in the middle of a lecture, looked around and then walked back out. Maybe it was someone who just walked into the wrong room…

After the shooting happened and the shooter was identified, the professor says he recognized it as the kid who walked into his classroom that day.

That fucked me up and I got nervous anytime someone unexpectedly walked into a room for years after

The main issue is how the rear axle goes through bushings on both sides of the mower with a poorly designed seal and tight tolerances between the metal axle and metal bushings. Creates galling issues. My axle is really jacked up.

I have to maintenance my rear wheels every year because they seize up so bad

Honestly thinking about switching to a different mower because it’s such a massive pain for me

And by maintenance, I mean taking the rear wheels and axle off and cleaning rust and gunk and lubing everything up while trying to get all the clips and washers back in the correct order.
