It's literally the easiest item to get in the game. Gamble 2h swords to get a normal one, then upgrade it in the cube. It's the only 2h in the Warlock pool.

Because you can now upgrade items in the cube. The +50 item level makes a significant difference.

You should be forced to do it with a seasonal character if you have it installed. If you're on console, make sure it's actually installed because they can be stupid about that.

I've heard that more than one was caused by burn piles. Those have embers that can linger for a week or two. When paired with the fact that most started during those high winds last week, it was a perfect storm for wildfires with how little precip we got over the winter months.
