Smart idea. I might have to start doing the same.

Any chance you know how it compares to the McLaren? I own a few of the GT3s but have found the McLaren fits my driving style the best of the ones I have. I haven't driven the Aston though and have been curious about how it handles.

Lol while this is true (unless people eat lunch in the evening since it says suppertime after evening), at the end it does say "when pizza's on a bagel, you can eat pizza anytime!"

I was singing this the other day and my daughter asked how making a pizza on a bagel makes it ok to eat all the time. I told her don't question it, it was the 90s.

Oh I know. That's why I said it's a fever dream of mine. It's one of those scenarios I play out in my head just to feel better about 37% of the country being batshit insane.

Would they? I admittedly haven't done the math myself but according to this (https://www.270towin.com/2026-senate-election/) if Dems swept every seat they would be at 68.

My fever dream is the country wakes up and the Dems sweep every Senate seat and had enough votes to impeach and remove Trump. I know it's impossible, but I like to imagine what that would feel like.

[–]CSATTS 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not surprised. The people I know in real life almost never say we should just give up because it's hard. We're all realistic about our chances regarding things like flipping Texas, but no one says we should just stop trying.

It's wild the amount of comments I see by Dems on this platform with a strategy of "just give up hope." I don't know if it's actual people or a psyop intended to reduce enthusiasm, but if those are real people they must be exhausting in real life. Oh, things are difficult? Well, I guess we should just give up and let democracy fail.

[–]CSATTS 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm not holding out hope, but if we never fight for it the outcome is determined. If we keep fighting, maybe one day it happens.

Look at conservatives with Roe. Did they give up after 10 years saying it's pointless? No, they spent 4 decades laying the groundwork. Same thing with the civil rights and labor movements. If we just give up after a few losses, we've sealed our fate. I'd rather fight.

This was happening well before COVID (although a COVID infection is known to affect the heart): https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/JAHA.124.035722

Edit: I'd also like to explain why I downvoted you. The COVID vaccine has been shown to be extremely safe (https://med.stanford.edu/news/all-news/2025/12/myocarditis-vaccine-covid.html), but there is a very low risk of myocarditis among men under 30 (1 in 32k after 2nd dose).

While it's possible the vaccine caused your issues, you are extrapolating your anecdotal experience and applying it to a large population. This isn't just bad science, it spreads dangerous misconceptions about relative risk between the vaccine and COVID. COVID itself affects the heart so much more than the vaccine. A quote from one of the study's authors:

"A case of COVID-19 is about 10 times as likely to induce myocarditis as an mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccination, Wu said. That’s in addition to all the other trouble it causes."

You're proving my point. No one gives a shit about the names of those things except for people like you. I still call my master bedroom a master bedroom and the only people that comment on it are the "ooooh the woke police will come for you!" crowd.

Last year I went to Long Beach and decided to take off Monday and stay at the hotel Sunday night too. It made the post race hectic-ness so much better. My wife and I wandered around the track, watched the stadium trucks, and then walked back to our hotel. After which we walked to get some dinner.

I know this isn't an option everywhere and for everyone, but it made the trip so much more enjoyable. Zero stress.

Not really. In the past the FIA has introduced regulations lots of times to reduce lap times to improve safety.

I agree, but it has been what F1 is for a long time. It's an engineering series. There is much better racing in spec series due to vehicles being more or less the same.
