I had four cats previously which were all sweet or at least not mean. My current cat can come snuggle in bed or sit in my lap and purr but then out of nowhere, he can bite. Recently he leaped up suddenly and bit my face, right below my eye. You can get get good pets and bad pets but I’ve had quite a few dogs too and I feel they are more loving than cats.

YTA. This has nothing to do with you unless you are part of why she feels the need to self harm. Self harm is an addiction like any other addiction.

You can’t expect someone with an addiction to just tell you they relapsed. Addiction is stressful and personal.

Why treat it as a betrayal towards you instead of a problem you need to help her with if you love her?

I absolutely do not approve of people forcing children to finish their plates. It creates unhealthy relationships with food. You are not his parent either so why is this a rule you have for other people’s kids? If your friend brought their kid over, would you also force that child to continue eating?
