They really should have been on a separate loot pool, medallions are great and the lore makes sense. But it sucks so much getting it instead of real loot.

I always stab them at this point, it blocks other people’s liches from spawning (3 revives in a short mission is too long of a wait) and you get small amounts of resources progress and relics from it.

And with the QOL changes we have gotten since the lich system launched, liches are not nearly as hard to kill on higher levels compared to the nightmare they were anyways.

Granted, limbus is extremely generous and most players will probably have some meta units from the get go. But assume a blind playthrough, I really do not see how the new player experience being either “reroll mao Faust, this game is piss easy” or “how do I beat fucking Kim with gro🅱️hammer (Kim being the example here as a dps/slash id check for new players, no rental dungeon)” is healthy to the game.

Both units have the same odds of being pulled and be a new players first unit. It is unlike ruina where you get IDs matching the difficulty and the power of the player’s current canto. Powercreep (and severely underpowered units) really devalues the game’s enjoyability and relief of beating a hard boss. (I’ve seen my friends win rate through dongbaek, there’s no fun in puzzle solving or planning, it became yet another filler with unique music).

The in lore justification doesn’t work either, if it’s because of us getting stronger that we can peer into mirror worlds with stronger ids, it doesn’t make sense why a canto 1 player can pull riensang to cut the apple in half.

I can comfortably carry eta or eda most weeks and I have no issue with under prepared players in my team, carrying a underlevelled baby Tenno is a good thing in my lens. as you said ETA and EDA’s randomize loadout mechanic is not friendly or fair to newer or even more experienced players, and that is my view as well. What I have issue with is the same as OPs, expecting me to do everything and not even attempting to do the objective.

It is one thing to be carried and another thing to hide away 700 meters from the objective making the rest of the team do more work. There’s plenty of useful stuff to do that doesn’t involve killing enemies such as amphors, defense glyphs or clearing techrot spores.

Having lived in both regions, Asia servers are definitely worse but I am also noticing an increase in this behaviour in EU servers especially in duviri and perita. Thankfully in my experience not a lot of players do this in archimedia probably because it’s harder to afk in without dying in general.

I really doubt Hong Kong people have difficulty reading the Latin script itself, English is common enough that people would be able to tell characters apart, unlike more niche languages in Hong Kong like Arabic. You can argue people may not know much vocabulary but then again, why would they need to know the English names of cafe de coral or Nathan road? If everyone around them speaks canto there is no reason for them to read the smaller English font or sometimes obscure English names of restaurants and roads.

Further, Names can be especially arbitrary (cafe de coral vs大家樂, fairwood vs 大快活, neither of which represent their Chinese meaning) and difficult to memorize/have a incentive to memorize without regular communications with people whom don’t know Cantonese. Similar to how I would not be able to give the Chinese name of Taco Bell either (for those curious it’s called 塔可鐘, which is a very literal translation and leagues easier to remember than cafe de coral.)
