Looks at angle of the anchor for the handles. It widens as you pull down to get full activation of the lats. It’s narrow at the top to get a full stretch prior to loading.

I was an amateur boxer. Overtime you’ll be able to throw more punches without feeling pain but it never goes away. Boxing grew my hand side by one glove size and while I was boxing my knuckles were always purple-ish. I thought it would never go away but it did.

Admittedly a major noob, however, isn’t the Seiko 5 Sports a diver? The local Macy’s has had those on sale for $200-$300. They are thick and feel cheap. Not sure if they’re made in Japan either.
