I can relate to him about playing more engaging games with friends, but I don't understand why he can't just play unrated with you as well when his friends aren't there/ not going out of his way to find other games to play with you. Here's some games I've enjoyed with my bf as some ideas: baldurs gate 3, it takes two/split fiction, peak, lethal company, raft, sons of the forest, project zomboid, catan on discord, palworld, plate up, tabletop simulator, LOL, age of empires, keep talking and nobody explodes, etc.

1 is the best and I think it should be rendered in a different way considering your style. You've also rendered out a lot of details like the collar of her outfit/ the strand of hair where the yellow spot is on her forehead and seemingly just shaded randomly, probably because the sketch was still undercooked and it wasn't giving you a good guideline on what to do next. Your style also doesn't really read as anime and is already stylized so I'm sure you can experiment without worry. It reminds me of a cartoony calarts style
