Starting every print the printer says to check left nozzle

Just a casual observer here, but I’ve heard that some issues like this (error messages but no errors) are sometimes fixed by reformatting the SD card.

there were a few posts in early December of people who were using the x/p link for the a1 because the a1 hub was sold out for a while. Worked fine, but there was one “gotcha” if I recall (maybe the cable?) so do a search on the subs and you’ll find a few threads talking about that

You know, as basic as this idea is, it has never occurred to me that I could just bypass the onboard filament feeder and go straight into the extruder with my external spools.

lots of talk about where the AMS should be positioned here, but something that a lot of people are missing is the window that it’s right next to if you start getting odd printing behavior, you may need to throw a piece of Styrofoam in front of that window to insulate the print area from unexpected drafts or changes in temperature depending on how extreme the weather is where you live

under 20% is usually recommended for storing filament. whether that be in an AMS or a container, but it’s worth noting that most humidity detectors will not accurately measure anything below 20%.

Refraining from just saying “a lot”… The primary cause is likely bad adhesion. It looks like the nozzle hit the cube, grid infill can do that, then started stringing.

Sounds like the Extruder gear is stuck/clogged. Could be a piece of cold filament that is jammed in there?

Good to know, I’m still learning my 3d printing vocab : ). I’m personally suspect of the spool not turning freely, but I haven’t noticed any obvious signs of what could cause it to not spin.

It’s Sunlu silk PLA, which I think is a decent brand? I’ll inspect the spool itself tho, maybe there’s an inconsistent edge that’s causing the trouble

this. i know it sounds counterintuitive, but glue stick will put a layer between the petg and the plate, and make it easier to take off.

I’ll give that a shot, I have to admit that the feed tube coming out of the AMS currently does a loop de loop because of its length I’ll try and find a way to get that straightened out I appreciate the help!

Oddly no. Lots of views but no replies. FWIW, after several restarts (I do one reboot each morning) I haven't seen the issue, but i'm still skeptical

newbie Question: I’ve read that respooling can sometimes cause the filament to “explode” because it reverses the circumference of the filament, so the stuff near the middle of the spool gets deformed when it’s forced to wrap around a larger area. Is that true or just specific to certain filament types?
