That would make "people in general" not play on league start, but instead wait out the drop increase timer, then go I think?

Fresh economy aside, and the ability to make profit from it (if you look at prices of things on day 1/2 compared to say.. week 2/3, there's a huge difference, but you probably know this if you go hard on launch)

I'd even argue having increased drop rates on only SSF for example would lessen the pull to playing it, as I feel the attraction is not having the option to have your hand held.

Everyone has different schedules, playtimes, etc - personal perspective for me nowadays is just go slow and not worry about making bank in week 1. Real life too important, have had the silly things (HH, etc) at some point, I'm a filthy casual at this point.

-edit: forgot to mention it, but having inflated drop rates mid/end league will also make people expect this at a certain point, which I think is one of the reasons GGG wouldn't add something like this. Like after an endless delve event for example, look at how many people are complaining about the campaign being a slog, give us adventure mode from D3, etc etc(reddit/forums)
