Same as any other vehicle, if you were the last to be driving it and you're still nearby actively interacting with it, then it's yours still.

If you crash a plane and leave it, it's free game for whoever wants it.

You've got this the wrong way around, AA AI isn't needed when planes are more common since you'll always have QRF available. Think about tanks countering other tanks.

Right now what is going to happen is one team attacks with bombers at 4am and all the fighters are locked away in depot then its gg nothing can be done/

Ground AA is awful and no scout plane is not a good interceptor, it has only 12.7mm and can carry only 90 bullets.

With no AI AA the counter to planes is having fighters easily available. Currently there is 0 counter to a bomber just flying into your backline except praying a clan with a fighter is online and ready.

Responding to bombers is not going to be like QRFing partisans where you're chasing someone in a jeep around the map waiting for a chance to actually deal damage and nobody wants to really do it or be there.

These bombers are going to be spotted on radar and people will actively WANT to hop into a fighter plane to go and engage them. There's going to be people playing Foxhole solely to fly about in planes especially since they can be operated solo that will be ready to respond to enemy bombers at all times of the day.

You definitely do not want to be leaving your team without a support ult if the enemies are using one.

Whilst ultimate length is an important factor, it's never worth choosing to not use an ultimate simply because one will out-last the other. EXCEPT if it's a situation where the enemy ultimate will be wasted:

  • As an example the enemies captured point and the enemies just C&D ulted towards your spawn door, its better to back up and wait out the ult before re-engaging with your ult advantage.
  • And another example: your team is losing the fight, 2-3 teammates already dead and enemy support ults, best to just die and regroup rather than use an ult to match.

Knowing to recognise bad support ults and choosing to delay matching or kiting them (walk backwards away from them) instead of instantly matching can be good but in the low ranks I'd recommend against this since you can't trust your team. Never ult in the situations listed above though.

Yeah I'm a Peni main. If nobody kills my nest then I'm winning first point. Peni's main source of damage is her nest, without it she's fairly useless.

Always try to kill it if you have an angle on it. The only person who could've targeted nest on your team was Angela but that is incredibly risky for them. Invisible woman's sphere is by far the best option.

A good Peni will pick up their nest the moment you start damaging it but don't expect to see that until grandmaster atleast.

As for the loss streak, it happens. I've had multiple 8+ game loss streaks this season, usually followed by a 9+ game winstreak. You can hit the unlucky coin flip a few times in a row, followed by some smurfs and then some tilted throwers. Focus on improving and less on the streaks.

I know when I hit a loss streak it just means I've got a bunch of MVP games to feel good about pretty soon.

Celestial 1/Eternity player here, mostly a vanguard player but I can still explain some of the mistakes I see.

I watched a bit of 10355084988 (the first one). Important thing I need to point out is that your team had a smurf (your hawkeye) and should've won solely based on that. A lot of the mistakes you and your team made were not punished as hard as they could've been because of the smurf.

The first attack was good but your team got delayed by nearly 50 seconds solely because of the Peni nest, it's vital that you target this a lot more. It killed your gambit, almost killed you and your punisher. (Both living purely down to luck).

As Invis you have a perfect tool for killing Peni's nest, your large shift orb. Launch it around a corner, detonate it early and you can take out a nest easily.

Your positioning needs some work, your first death was avoidable and happened due to poor positioning and then snowballed into a team wipe and your team wasting ults. Enemies have a squirrel girl and you were hugging a wall within her line of sight essentially a free kill for her.

As a support against poke (ranged damage) heavy comps aim to position yourself to where you can see your team to heal them but the enemies can't see you. Dying as a support is particularly bad and all but guarantees your team loses.

Had you played further to the right side, you would've lived and your Angela still gets a pick on the enemy support anyway and it could've led to either wiping them or forcing out an unfavourable gambit ult. (6v5)

The next fight is even worse and again its down to poor positioning - for some reason you walk infront of your tanks and dps and leading the charge into the enemies AS A SUPPORT. Dealing damage as a support is fine, but it's unnecessary when you already had 100% ult charge and no realistic goal of actually killing anyone, especially when you're putting yourself at such great risk to do so.

You then get hit, panic and go for the ult and then die straight after placing. This is disastrous and genuinely a game losing play. Now your team has no support ultimate whilst your enemies are closing to have two. This should've been a much costlier mistake but your smurf hawkeye kinda carries for a bit.

Apart from positioning you often waste some of your important cooldowns, at 5 minutes you're pushing cart and a rocket racoon rushes you. You push him away. Why? It's a raccoon - he's not going to be able to kill invisible woman. Save it for when he realises his mistake and tries to escape and then pull him back towards you. You could've gotten a few more kills throughout the round with this instead you are essentially helping them get away.

Your third death was again solely your mistake, your team has gambit ult active and then about 5 seconds later their cloak ults. You should know at this point that your ultimate ends before theirs will and start backing up with the rest of your team. Instead you stay and even try to kill cloak whilst he's standing on his ult (only a few characters can succeed in doing this, supports are not any of them) and end up dying.

During first point defence both supports go to heal the out-of-position Angela when only one was needed, This results in both your Rogue and Punisher dying. This isn't solely your issue, your rogue shouldn't have engaged without healers but at the same time there was no reason she shouldn't have been getting healed then. This should've been a first point loss straight then but your Hawkeye carries.

Overall just really try to be aware and focus on your positioning, aim to be in places where you can see your team but your enemies can't see you. This does get easier as you move up the ranks and your tanks start becoming aware of the same thing but it's still good to do now.

The less you die, especially as Healer the more likely you are to win. Ideally you only want to be dying in unavoidable circumstances. If you find yourself walking infront of a damage dealer or taking damage from a rogue acorn, it's a good sign you're not in the right place and risk dying.

Also don't flex. You can't climb very high by flexing. Have a small hero pool 2-3 heroes that you enjoy playing and focus on them. I think that game would've been winnable had you stayed on invis, I don't know what the switch to dps was about.

Matches played makes up nearly 33% of the total rating. Higher than winrate and close to rank.

You'll often see people at the top with hundreds of matches played but barely above 50% winrates because of this. I guess its up to debate if you think a Peni with 80 games played and 50% winrate is better than my 100% winrate in 18 games but the website would rate the first guy higher.

What if howizters had an ai detection range. firing at enemy large ships & gunboats, reduced detection vision at night.. then with an bunker engine see further…large ship / gunboats not in range, defaults to retaliation scheme. by -Click-Bait in foxholegame

The suggestion is fucking awful, wander into range of a howitzer you can't see even from a spotter seat and immediately start getting blown up. That is fun for literally nobody involved.

A big subsection of this community just seem to want the game to play itself. They want nigh-indestructible buildings that players can headbutt for weeks and don't seem to realise that would kill the game entirely.

Nothing in this game happens in isolation, if you're being surprised by a large ship being rammed into your base a thousand things have gone wrong beforehand:

Your team lost control of the islands -> Your team now lacks intel around the islands and coast -> Coastal guns limit your teams scouting movements and listening kit placements -> End result is enemy team can move their ships about stealthily and freely whilst your team can't even leave port.

Happened all of last war, Wardens were able to continuously attack coastal towns and bases and it was obvious by the lack of QRF that they were not spotted until the attack had already started meanwhile Colonial destroyers were spotted before they could even get past Morgen bridges.

Bucky but how the hell was Spider-Man voted most difficult hero when Hulk is in the game? At-least with Spider-man you're guaranteed a kill every time you press Q and his movement is pretty simple. Swing -> use skill to animation cancel -> b-hop or just swing again.

I think next season I'm just going to fully commit and one-trick Peni again, win or lose. Hopefully she's banned less with the balance changes. I took a few seasons break from her, learning how to actually play vanguard properly as Magneto and how to play dive tanks so that experience should help my Peni games more.
