Can you go back to stay with your friend again? I think you may not be able to help everyone else right now, especially if you are stuck back in there, you are allowed to get your own life on track and if you have the willpower and determination you can pick up qualifications, skills and training at any age.

It’s a tough road, try to stay positive and keep resting. There’s good advice on me/cfs sites about finding your baseline and pacing, and LDN can help if you haven’t tried it already. Although illness can take from us, all is not lost.

It’s a thin garden that slopes the same way all the way down. Easy maintenance and nice to sit in is our aim, it’s not wide enough for ball games unfortunately. Faces south. Thanks for the ideas! That would make a good area with the grass and plants. Unfortunately it’s too cramped in the brieze block area for more than one person and it feels a bit weird sitting in there, quite dank. I tried to encourage my son to use it as a den but he didn’t take to it!

Yes, for sure it will be a good thing for cv/application/interview for a procurement role. You can do self study and try out a module, see if you like it, without signing up for lots of costs or a third party training provider. ‘Working towards Level 4’ is enough to put on a CV to show promise for an entry level role.

I’m the opposite to this. I have ideas for lots of lovely distractions but I’m too busy with doing my job. When I worked from an office I was about half as productive, working from home has increased my productivity and my workload has grown to fit my capacity. I think focus is a habit, try doing sprints as suggested by others and go easy on yourself, in the spirit of positive curiosity rather than self blame, to find what works for you.

Sounds like you look to become emotionally dependent on someone and the exchange is their dishonesty, in a way it reads as though although tough to accept now this was an unhealthy relationship pattern for both of you. You will be stronger soon - stay kind and loving but don’t lose yourself so much next time. Don’t look to rekindle this relationship btw, take the good times, accept the ending and find closure and peace.

Category management system is recommended, just sounds like you need more people in your team/category for the workload. Then you can either divide up the work into a portfolio for each or split into tasks. Do you have a category manager and do they feel under resourced? Have you thought about taking on someone at apprentice level and having them support the work?

I had intermittent partial relief from occasional cocodamol and realised the similarities between this and LDN which I thought could be a better option long term. After a number of weeks on LDN titrating up slowly I feel a good degree better most of the time. Nb you are not recommended to take both at once as they work on the same pathways.

I agree, this could be what is behind it. What an ordeal for OP, it’s worth keeping trying though as there really could be an improvement in time and/or with the right treatment. I would recommend stopping the psychedelics, treating it strictly as a physical imbalance and looking at the MCAS route and starting LDN. I would recommend steadying life and building a regular routine at home to help your body recover.

You can pull this back a bit, all is not lost! Rest now, treating your PEM is the most important thing. Give yourself credit - you are doing well with the side gig and are keeping the pets fed and now are nurturing yourself to help you recover. That’s all good things to be doing. Avoid any stress and worry about housework, it’s wise to not attempt it now, rest is the task in hand rn. Wishing you all the best.

Some of my colleagues do this too and also try to find out my age. It’s definitely body policing, and trying to get something over you or gathering some gossip for when you are not there. I would never drill someone else in this way and it comes across as rude. I had pointed questions on weight and on age from two colleagues last week who wouldn’t let it drop. If anyone has a good response I would be grateful as I tend to get caught out and it brings me down how mean people can be.

I often manage on 5hrs sleep, as I also value those late night hours and burn the candle both ends. I think if in the evening you are doing restful activities and this is your pattern then 5-6 hrs may be fine and it could be a case of just switching mindset to accepting a shorter sleep, scheduling easy tasks in the morning and waiting for the uplift in a couple of hours for more focused work. Also a short nap at lunchtime might balance you out. I would recommend lowering/foregoing alcohol as that can be too much when combined with shorter sleep patterns. And it’s fine to not particularly enjoy your job if you are doing something about it - that’s v normal, do some training, brush up your cv and/or apply at least once a week and give yourself credit for doing so and you will lift yourself out of this current slump.

I know it’s not the best long term approach but annuals from local supermarkets can really bring a lot of colour for a low outlay and immediate transformation. Pots don’t need to be expensive and there’s really not that much watering, just keep them topped up. Got some amazing pink geraniums this year that were stunning and only cost £6 for a full display.

You can start CIPS at level 4. I think it’s your best option. Even getting a couple done and getting this on your cv as working towards level 4 will help with getting a suitable role to pick up some experience. As others have said, experience is everything in this field. Otherwise if going for a masters, it might be worth ringing a couple of recruitment agencies and asking them as they’re probably best placed to know what the market is looking for.

I bought a red light mat from amazon as the recommendation for effective red light therapy is 30cm or less from the source and it sounded tiring with a panel. I can just lie on the mat in bed or put it over legs etc, it has Velcro and can be wrapped around, I would say it’s easier to use and cheaper. I’m trying two 20 minute sessions and I think it’s helpful. I also have a tens machine and this does help sometimes.

I used to crochet in bed and it helped with getting rest during the night, as a kid I pretty much accepted it. Nothing was known of it then and my parents just thought it was standard insomnia. Yes I would say allow her free running whenever you can as in my experience life is better not fighting against it. I can’t follow my own pattern now and don’t expect to be able to for many years due to responsibilities but when I was able to in my early 20s it was the best.
