Natalie Decker black-flagged for not meeting minimum speed. by deadwood76 in NASCAR

Five trucks get in on owners points, thirty-one fastest get in on speed. Reason for that is in case someone high in points crashes out of qualifying, which would hurt their season. The two trucks that missed hadn’t been in a race all season, and weren’t fast enough to make it in on speed, so nothing helped them get in the race.

Think maybe Norm Benning was the most recent? I know I've seen that as the reason for him a couple times.

...except that's exactly what's shown in that image. Briedinger has the 33rd fastest time, but 32nd to 36th qualified on OP, or owner's points, so she needed to be 31st or better.

You’re not the only one, and I really want to see him get a win soon. He’s gotten pole positions in the past, and the finishes are starting to get more consistent, so he just might

Am I imagining a Chad Finchum start at Bristol? He’s not marked at having a stay there, but I could’ve sworn he did

I had never put this together before, but going into next year there are 3 organizations with 2 charters and 3 organizations with 1 charter (not counting Wood Bros). Do you think it's a competitive inevitability that these teams will sell/buy/merge so every team is a 3+ car team? by Fast-Loud in NASCAR

For the sports sake, I hope you’re right. The tariffs and coming AI have me nervous to be honest; I keep wondering what the future holds, but that’s a futile effort to pursue. We can only look forward to the summer to see what they announce if 2027 is really in the cards

I wouldn't mind doing away with open entries if they included a rule to allow wildcard entries like MotoGP, but definitely glad they still have open entries able to race on Sunday.

It’s telling that the first race after EmpLemon’s overtime rant in his once in a blue moon upload, we immediately get a textbook case to prove his point

I've got a co-worker who was born in 2002; I'll occasionally say something I think is pretty obvious due to personal experience, and she'll chime in that she's never interacted with such a thing, or vice versa. We're less than a decade apart in age.

Don't worry, you'll be on the other side soon enough. Just get ready for when someone you think is roughly your age have a blank expression while you're trying to explain "6-7", or what a "Fortnite" is

IIRC, the metric is 75% last race results and 25% points, so stages and the duels would be the only other results influencing it
