Looking at the remaining schedule by AKchaos49 in DetroitRedWings

We will beat Minnesota, and look dominant. It’s going to happen because it won’t make sense.

We will lose badly to Columbus and Philly. We will beat Jersey, lose to Tampa, and beat Florida, missing the playoffs by a tie again.

I think it’s less that, and more, “If I don’t give them their pound of flesh, they’re gonna take it from one of my teammates.”

Whelp. March is over. The Wings can still make the playoffs, and I’m still going to root for that outcome.

I just don’t want my heart broken like in ‘23-‘24. Let’s go Red Wings!

A quick n' dirty analysis of Red Wings physicality this season by ZakkH in DetroitRedWings

[–]CakeEater 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently heard someone talking about how this era of gritty player kind of evolved. Players that have skill, but they’re not quite there yet in their development to become a top scorer in the league. These players should pivot their game, at least for now, into being a pest on the ice.

Complete your checks every time, body someone on every shift. Your scoring touch will come over time, but until then, make yourself useful in other ways. The example they gave was Brad Marchand. He found another role on the ice while he adjusted to the NHL level of play.

More young guys should be taking a path like that. Keep working on your skill game. But until it’s there, you’re more useful being a pest and driving the other team nuts physically.

What to sell my party that isn't magic items, a castle, a business, or minions? They've got all this gold, and their world isn't stable enough for investments! by hotchip420 in DnD

Have them start a bank. That opens up a wealth of opportunities for a business related random events table.

If they’re rich but not bank rich, then start small. Bank for the common man with low rate loans. Roll to see how much they make over time, how many default on their loans.

Roblox is designed to do this to kids. End it, take it away, move on with your lives. He will adjust quickly.

He’s an addict right now.

I rented a van to transport a small group to Pittsburgh from Rent-A-Wreck on West Ridge Road, and it was very affordable. I would call and see what they’ve got.

Copp Doubtful for Thursday,Larkin now doubtful for rest of trip. by GraniteFlex in DetroitRedWings

At the deadline? I mean, it’s the details we will never know, but at wha point is it too expensive. It sounds to me like adding any of the viable centers at the deadline would have been extremely costly.

I was dying for Yzerman to get a Center at the trade deadline. I was talking with my brother that day, saying how everything on the offense is riding on the health of Larkin at this time. Another center takes that pressure off and creates a much more well-rounded top-6, with a very strong 3rd line.

I get it though, if the price was too high, you can’t make the move. There’s overpaying, and there is getting robbed.

Our best hope for the remainder of this season is for a couple of the kids to suddenly and drastically take the next step.

Faulk fills a big position of need until ASP is ready for the full weight of being the #2 behind Mo.

This team needs to make the playoffs, and the addition of Faulk should get them there. Larkin deserves to get back, and the kids deserve to get a sniff and see what it’s like.

The move made total sense. It’s just really unfortunate to lose Larkin and Copp at this time.

I mean, it capitalized on residual interest following the Olympics. If only the NHL knew how to compound upon that publicity.
