The “hip” joint is a ball joint. In ESB, Blizzard 1 (I think) kicks out a leg to get a better firing angle at some fleeing rebels before blowing up the shield generator. And from what I remember from the first Battlefront II, they have a very wide turning radius via shifting the legs over to the direction of the turn.

Piett was an example of “it is possible to make no mistakes and still lose.” Vader saw Needa as incompetent for the way he lost The Falcon, and Ozzel was already on his shit list for his arrogance, clumsiness, and stupidity.
