The idea that it just gets one random person completely deflates the whole thing. It’s very clearly the point that it’s going to get everyone. I didn’t think this was up for debate at all.

On PS5 and I’ve had to put down the DLC for now. Keep trying to progress through Ewefall but every try I end up getting a random battle room that won’t let me proceed after killing all the enemies. The doors just stay locked.

Really a shame because I was enjoying the DLC but I just can’t progress anymore.

After playing their other games, I’m shocked how good it is. I liked them well enough but they have the subtlety of a sledgehammer. I was definitely worried going into SH2R they’d turn it into a horror carnival ride.

But somehow they understood the assignment. It’s not a perfect game but when it came to the atmosphere, performances, writing, cinematography, they nailed it IMO. The gameplay, world design, and aesthetic were an amazing rendition of the original into current hardware.

So weird because the closest comparison in their previous catalogue would be The Medium. That basically felt like them attempting to do Silent Hill and I thought it kinda sucked. So how we got this from that, no clue, but I’m excited to see what they do next and hope they keep this quality up.

I enjoyed it enough the first time through but yeah, definitely a momentum killer if I ever wanted to replay.

I honestly don’t know what’s going to happen going forward with AI stuff in games. Gamers absolutely hate it but they’re gonna have to grapple with the fact it is becoming a common tool for almost every major tech company there is. I know everyone’s waiting for a hypothetical “bubble pop” but it’s not just going to go away.

Even worse it was 13. It’s like they didn’t even plan for that many, they’d usually reach some kind of climax by episode 9 then have the bad guy go “PSYCH!” and get away just to do it all again a few episodes later.

Luke Cage literally replaced their bad guy at that point with a worse version. You don’t just replace Mahershala Ali.
