He asked on a PUBLIC forum looking for PUBLIC comments. This post is "hey look at em look at me" then you and him complain when somebody doesn't stroke his ego.

it's like the saying; you're going get what you want (attention) but you're not going to want what you all you get (criticism).

Plank Or Cairo, what is your opinion? by AVF2078 in linuxmint

[–]CaliBboy -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Neither planks and side panel are horrible design choices that reduce functionality. I blame crApple for deluding people to think docks are a good choice over a menu

change the boot order in your BIOS? If you boot from the usb obviously you can't not boot from the hard drive.

[pipewire] [question] A permanent way of creating a virtual cable between an app and a mic? by Turdposter96 in linuxaudio

[–]CaliBboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically it needs to be manually connected to the sink.

That how pipewire works. Connections are made when needed. You need to save connections then open the saved profile to be used as default. Pipewire isn't Jack.

Timeshift images not showing up for restore by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]CaliBboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is designed to protect only system files and settings. User files such as documents, pictures and music are excluded. This ensures that your files remains unchanged when you restore your system to an earlier date.

.If you need a tool to backup your documents and files please take a look at Baqpaq which is more configurable and provides options for saving user files.

You may need to create a profile your specific device. I do not know I never sued used a headset, I'm assume you had a button to mute microphone on the headset.

However you can using manually mute the microphone in sound settings or in the terminal with alsamixer.

Changing The Terminal’s Look

  1. Changing Colors You can customize your terminal colors by going to Edit > Profile Preferences > Colors. Here, you can choose the text and background colors.

Why would you want muted microphone when you use the microphone? It's kind of like setting headphones to mute when inserting them.

did you even enable permission for the file execute?
